I am undecided about what to do with my wedding day nails. I am considering these options:
1. Simple and elegant French manicure

2. Pretty light pink polish to match my wedding color (should I do a gel manicure??)

3. Pink and gold sparkles (Pink is my main color and I'm doing a pink and gold cake, gold table numbers, frames etc)

4. Lace patterned

5. Something totally blinged out and crazy since I'll never have another opportunity!

That's a tough one! I actually think the lace pattern is really beautiful.
I did a simple french manicure but added little mustache stickers (My wedding was NOT super formal and was much more on the "fun" side. I'm sure some people on here would scoff at my mustache nails)

I think I'm gonna go with a light pink gel manicure and lavendar on my toes to match my colors
@Brideonabudgetlauren: hey if it goes with ur personality, why not!
@sofiekitty: I voted pink with gold AND the lace because I think they're both such gorgeous choices. That being said, if you really want the blinged out nails at ANY time, I say go for it! Wedding or not, I think rocking those nails out would be so awesome :)

Love the pale pink with glitter. I'm a self confessed nail polish fanatic, and I change my mind almost everyday. This is my inspiration right now too, very similar to your pink and gold, but I'll swap the colours for lavender and silver glitter if I go that route. I also love a dark edgy nail, love the contrast with the white dress. I'm also obsessed with the shade ginger by julep, it's a sand colour holographic, perfect nude with a slight twist. Too many choices :)
i did gel french nails for mine. cant go wrong w classic but those other designs minus the lace are nice too. DO NOT do acrylics!!! they are soooo tacky!!! anytime i see a woman w / fake nails on I think trash not class..
@sofiekitty: I'm not the biggest fan of French manicures. I want to do a light blush color with shellac so that it lasts on the honeymoon. I love love the glitter! I want to glitter my ring finger but I keep getting shot down by family on that one. The lace pattern is so pretty but my favorite is the first gold and pink.
@Mrs.Kpop: do you mean the acrylics from the nail salon are tacky? That seems a little silly. I can't grow nails because they are so weak and break and so I usually get the acrylics from the nail salon. Have never heard somebody call that tacky before.
@sofiekitty: I like the second version of 3. It's trendy without being too much (like the first version of 3). As for the others, I feel like French is classic but a little outdated, and the lace is too busy. I do like pink but I would personally choose a softer pink.
@Mrs.Kpop: That is a really intolerant thing to say. We should have respect for all types of people and tastes.
@Future_Ms.Bostonceltics: What is the name color and brand of that last one? Pink with glitter! I love it!!
@HisMoon: Haha thanks! Yeah one of these days I might get the blinged out nails just for the heck of it!
@Future_Ms.Bostonceltics: Thanks for the inspiration photos! I love the first three with the touch of glitter/bling! That "ginger" color you describe - is that the one in your last photo? It's really pretty!
@Treejewel19: Your nails look gorgeous!! They are perfect!! If I get the French, I want them just like yours!!
@Mrs.Kpop: I used to do the powder....do you consider that acrylic? If so, I think they look nice. My regular nails are much too short and brittle to pull of a French without the powder.
I had a French manicure on my hands and then red on my toes (to match my wedding color!)
I like the lace designs.
@soontobehisbride: @sofiekitty: The last photo I posted is Ginger by Julep.
I get acrylics that I have filed SO short and extra-rounded on the edges, and no one believes me when I tell them they aren't my real nails. My natural nails are weak and won't grow longer than my fingertip, and since I have short fingers I like adding that extra centimeter to sort of elongate my fingers...
Considering no one even believes me when I tell them that I'm wearing acrylics, I think it's pretty silly to say ALL acrylics are tacky...
P.S., I love the ones with a little bling around the nailbed or on the tip! Pretty!
My nails are currently done in gel with a pink base and glitter tips with a small white defining line between. I think this is what I will do for the wedding. Sorry for the ridiculously dry hand. It is super cold and dry here in the winter.

love the pink and gold
My colors were black, silver & ivory so I did a french manicure with silver glitter on the nail bed
I like and I'm getting a simple french manicured nails and yup they will be acrylic! I like them short just like in your inspiration photo
I will probably wear either pale pink or red (whichever color I decide to go with for my shoes and bouquet) but the last set of nails with the lace and flowers (#5) are to die for!
Idk why but I've always disliked french manicures. I know they're a classic look but I've never liked them. I'm going to do a pale pink color! Maybe with a subtle glitter on my ring finger. :)
I'll be doing gel french similar to @howtobeawife's. I like french when it is done with a relatively narrow white tip and not too long or squared off.
Although, I'm thinking more towards American manicure than French... or somewhere in between. I just don't want the nail bed to be too pink, I want it to be a natural look.
@sofiekitty: Thanks so much! I have been going to the same place for almost eight years, they are amazing. My nails look like that after coaching, volleyball and powerfit.
I'm undecided, too. There are so many beautiful options!
I'm going for either:
1. Pale Pink

2. Nude/Pink

3. Glitter (Silver or Gold)

Edit: Whoa, sorry. I tried to resize!
My FI just told me that he thinks french manicures look "weird" and asked me not to do one. Haha...okaaay!? I think they are nice, but fair enough. They are off the table! I'm thinking pale purple with silver glitter over top now. Maybe a bright red!
I chose a simple, elegant French manicure -- it was all regular nail polish on my natural nails only (no tips, no acryllic, no silk wraps, no gel, no glaze.)

@everyheart: I love both of the "nude pink" colors you posted! Do you happen to know the color names?
@sofiekitty: I voted for blinged out but that's just me ;) I have crazy fun acrylics that I switch up every month. Just do what fits YOUR personality!
I loooove the lace... but I would limit it to accenting the tips or something (no full nail)
I did the timeless french tips but I loooove the idea of the lace as well!
Wish I could have had that! hehe
I voted for the third option! I really liked the look of the 2nd third option that you posted, if that makes sense. The one with the bottle of nailpolish in her hands.
I totally overdid mine but I absolutely loved them since... well.. it was a once in a lifetime thing.. they were done with powder and each flower designed petal by petal... it took nearly 3 hours to get them done....
This is 2 weeks later in the honeymoon
@sunshinebee: According to Pinterest, the first one is Essie Topless and Barefoot and the second one is OPI Tickle My Franc-y. :)
