You could probably find some cute wedges that would work.

Mine is outdoors, too at a vineyard. I have to come down 2 different flights of stairs and walk across grass to come down a few more steps then the walkway to the alter. I actually bought heels at first but am so terrified of falling on my face, I returned them and bought some wedges.

These are from the Toms wedding collection. Wedges for the ceremony and the ballet flats for the reception. I got some cute rhinestone clips to go on them too to dress them up a little more.

I also got marreid in the grass, so I just opted to wear flats.

I’m getting married outside 🙂 I’m wearing flats. Here are my shoes. I’m going to sell them after our wedding in 18 days if you wear a size 9 and are interested:

Same challenge here – I have two pairs, one a Badgley Mischka stiletto that I love, but hurt at my fitting last weekend. I also have Toms in a lilac wedge that I might end up wearing the whole day. I’d initially purchased them to wear for the afternoon and reception after our late morning ceremony.

FutureMrsKyewski: Wedges are great for this situation.

Have you already had your dress hemmed? Does this determine how high the wedge can be or do you have a preference?

Do you want, white (ivory) or colored?  Peep toe? Closed toe?

I am not sure how well these actually work but I have seen these advertised a lot lately.

I understand completely. My brother got married outside in May and we all wore heels sinking into the ground as we walked up the aisle.

I am not planning on having an outdoor ceremony but I am wearing boots, so if I were, it would not be an issue.

FutureMrsKyewski:   These white patent Dansko clogs may not qualify as “cute” but I am hoping I won’t fall over in them.  If it pleases the weather gods my ceremony will be outdoors as well.

FutureMrsKyewski:  Mine is outdoors but I said screw it, I wanted pretty shoes!  So I got these beauties at Nordstrom.  I also got the caps you can put on the bottoms to prevent your heels from sinking into the ground.  There are mixed reviews on them, but for $9 I was willing to give them a shot.  Otherwise, my plan on the grass and stairs is to hang on to my dad for dear life, and hanging on again to Mr. S on the way back down.  I’m pairing the bridesmaids up with groomsmen so that they have an arm to lean on also.
