I don’t know what you mean by “too in your face” – but since you haven’t had any replies yet, I’ll share some of our photos I’ve shared in other threads. We went with a “bluey-purple ombre” effect. I dislike when things are supposed to match exactly and are slightly off color, so to avoid having to find specific shades, we used colors in the same range. I hope these are helpful.

For some reason I couldn’t upload more than those three pictures. Here are some others that include our colors.

Hi! We used mainly pink and white with blue bridesmaids dresses and pink and blue bunting. When I first started planning I wanted blue, pink and yellow – gradually this became blue and pink, and then we opted for all pink and white flowers so the blue became our accent colour! I loved how it turned out and I loved the contrast of the pink flowers with the blue dresses. I posted pictures of my bridesmaids and the decor in my recap:

Hope this helps! 🙂

I’m having a “shades of blue” lakeside theme. We will be having an outdoor wedding overlooking the lake that my FI proposed to me on while ice fishing. Our reception will be at a lakeside restaurant ballroom. My gown has blue accents, one of my pairs of shoes are blue, and I have a raw aquamarine custom hair accessory. My bridesmaids will be in long navy gowns with moonstone/blue topaz/aquamarine jewelry. Other colors I plan to decorate with will be ivory, khaki, and champagne-like colors (almost seashell like). I love the idea of driftwood and succulents for decor!

Here’s my gown, hair accessory, and shoes.
