I’m really impressed by how much both of your rings look like diamonds! I honestly never would have known the difference!

mrssloan2013:  thanks 🙂 step cuts are my favourite!! Yeah white sapphires r more sparkly and diamond like than i thought! Cant tell the difference in pics but in real life the white sapphire looks more icy looking with a blue tint

Oooo I love my white sapphire!  I almost didn’t get it because I was worried everyone would think it was a diamond and I’d spend the rest of my life correcting it but I’m so glad I went with it.

Loving this thread ladies!

ariaK:  Stunning! I adore step cuts. I think sapphires are good stones for that cut. May I ask where that is from?

I can’t get a good picture of mine (mine seems to look dull or glassy in photos with flash), but it’s this one:

Some people can tell it isn’t a diamond, others have no idea. They are VERY different from diamonds. Diamonds throw rainbows, but the sparkle I see in mine is much more subdued, blue and white tones, maybe some yellow, but not rainbow. But I like that. “Icy” is a good way to describe it, like a PP said.

It’s also much daintier looking in real life than in the photo where everything is super enlarged to show everything. If anyone is looking for a very inexpensive ring, this fits the bill IMO.

WailFin:  I’ve only had mine less than two weeks, so maybe mine will too 🙂 I think white sapphires tend to hit one sort of color at a time rather than the all-color rainbows diamonds throw off, which is part of the reason I like mine so much!
