Those sound soo elegant! Can you post pics? I did my own invites, too and had some bling, too, three tiny crystals on the orchid graphic. Here is a pic: (I don't have more with me right now)

I'd love to see pics of yours.
my pics look distorted for some reason but there they are!
I made almost everything for the wedding (menus, signs, programs, invites, etc), and I must say that I feel pretty good about it. Everyone that I talked to didn't know that I had made them all. I was PUH-RETTY proud of myself.
Here are 2 pictures of mine (sorry for the glare on the pictures):
O come on now...I know for a fact that there are more DIY invites on here than this!
I'm not close to done yet, but when I am, I will post here!
here are some better pics of mines...idk what the heck happened with the first ones.
ohhh I'm sooo envious! you are all so talented! I've thought about doing my own but am so scattered about what I want..I can't make up my mind!
tenmylove -- I love your invites. Especially the map! What program did you design it in?
You all are so talented and you are inspiring me to get down to work on our invites. We're planning on DIY-ing ours as well :-)
I LOVE the DIYs in this thread--so cute! I did my own invitations as well, since I worked in an invitation store for about a year and a half, and I knew EXACTLY what I wanted when it was my turn to get married. The invites I wanted weren't in my budget (to buy) so I made them myself! I put them on my etsy shop, and now, a friend of mine is using a (modified) version of the same design. :)

Just beautiful. I'm looking for something similar with the Damask, only using a bright pink instead of red. Very, very crafty ladies here.

Sorry, there are no users yet.
There's a lot of us out here who have decided that we wanted to make our invites ourselves.
I am one of those ppl....my invites are all hand cut!! i did not buy a invite kit from a store and then print them(not that there's anything wrong with that)....I actually went to Michael's and bought all my papers from the scrap booking section.
My invite is an envelopment....its made of red card stock embossed with hearts, white satin double faced ribbon, damask card stock, and a shimmery white paper...the wording is printed in edwardian script....and i have to have my bling so there are 5 tiny crystals glues on each one...2 on the envelopment between the dates and 3 on the actual invite right before the wording stars.
So I've shown u mines....now show me your beautiful handy work!
