I was going to design them myself but then I won a contest from A Printable Press. They were looking for a new idea for an invitation and I came up with the idea for something that looked like a band poster/hatch poster.

Well, my idea won, so this is the design I’m getting. This isn’t our name and info – it’s just a mockup. It’ll also be in our colors instead of these.

Oh, but I don’t think I’m going to get the thank you notes. Just the invites and RSVP cards.

My DIY invites. I really like showing them off haha! (sorry if you have seen them 100x before)! I wont put pics of the reception or accomodation card or map in the photos. Its pretty much the same fonts and layout.

@Crane those invitations are fantastic! I thought about making my own but after trying to find nice paper and the thought of ruling and slicing and sticking and whatnot freaked me out! I just don’t have the time or the patience and I don’t think my end result would have been anywhere near as fab as yours so good on you for creating such beautiful invites!

Taken with my iphone so the lighting (no flash) is awful.  We (I) DIYed for less than $2 each including postage for the invite & postacrd RSPV, and I had such a good time doing it I was sad once it was over.  FI designed the monogram, and I hand-stamped, attached the tulle and tied the ribbon around each one=)

msjellyfish its stardream metallic gold. I got it at my local craft store but i am positive you can order it online. It showed up really well when I ran it through the cuttlebug machine. Gave it a nice sheen. 🙂
