My Fi wanted something with character, but no bling. I tried to keep my opinions to myself because I wanted him to pick what he wanted, and he picked my favorite. I love it and cant wait to see it on him every day!

We went the custom route because FI was very particular about what he wanted. The middle is a dark palladium and the rails either side are platinum on a straight band. He adores it!

His is Damascus steel.  Love the wood grain pattern!  They twist stainless steel and iron together to make it.

We got matching bands in white gold. The pattern was developed in the 1850s by a Swedish master goldsmith and is typical for the province I’m from. DH is Canadian, but loved the look of the ring as soon as I suggested it. He loves wearing it and a lot of people have commented on it saying how nice they think it is to see a mans ring with a pattern.

I saw a ring with ths detail, and loved it – otherwise I was just going to get a plain band.  It was $850 or something ridiculous, so I had this custom made for $240. 🙂 That also let me adjust the profile size, and width, so that I’m able to wear it at work without it getting in the way.

I don’t have a pic of just his ring, but here’s both of ours. We had a hard time finding him a ring as he wanted some unique bling but we had a pretty small budget. About 2 months before the wedding we were super stressing it and he remembered he had put away his Dad’s old RHR ring when he inherited it from him over 7 years ago & hadn’t touched it since. He got it out and we thought it was perfect- the style, the bling, the sentiment, etc. I wasn’t sure I liked it at first as I’m not a fan of yellow gold or large rings, but I get giddy seeing it on his finger!

Here’s his ring (and a bit of my back, sorry, it’s the only photo I had of his ring).  It’s custom made after a ring at Jared he liked, platinum and 18k gold.

Here’s my FI’s titanium and rosewood ring! It looks great on him – very much a style that fits him well. 🙂

Wow, you girls/guys sure do like some detailed bands!

My fiance’s wedding band is a simple 6mm yellow gold band.  Very traditional and classic.

These are all so fantastic and unique!!  After all the months chaos of my custom e ring, we were at the jewelers, he wandered over to a case and said “oh  that one is cool,” and tah dah!  Tungsten and braided (twisted) cable:
