FI and I are in the home stretch of our search for wedding bands. Mine is pretty simple, we're matching it to my e-ring. But he has more creative room with his band. So show me your photos of men's bands and help inspire us!
I love my man's ring! We just picked it up a week ago!
this is the one i bought for him in Overstock.com is stunning in real life.

FI wanted something white gold and fairly simple, but with some sort of variation in finish or texture. The hammered finish in the center and the milgrain detail on this ring were just perfect - I'm actually mailing out my last payment on the ring tomorrow and hope to receive it next week!

What a fun and different thread! Here's my FI's custom ring. The band will be white gold with the mountains in yellow gold. The mountains on the ring actually mirror the mountain range from our venue outside of Rocky Mountain National Park.

Here is my FI's Ring. I have not bought it yet but he picked it out. It is from Mardo's Fine Jewelry in Newport Beach, CA. The same place where he got my e-ring.
@littlemissmango - thanks I just love it! It really suits Fis personally and is very masculine. We got it from a Canadian Jeweller Mappins. But the first time I saw it was online (sorry I don't know where). It is a tungsten ring with a black carbon fibre center.
We still have time to look but he knows he wants a white metal and diamonds. I need to see some styles to get an idea so post if you have one!
I like this thread.... posting so that i can keep track as Craig isn't sure of what he wants yet. He likes the white gold and black, but still unsure.
FI ring is just like Colette's hubby's, except he didn't like the millgrain detail so it will be a smooth clean line. I love the hammered look. If you don't mind me asking Colette, how much was his ring? Our jeweler quoted us $800, but I haven't been able to shop it.

i believe they have this ring (or something very similar) at kay jewelers. FI is getting a tungsten one very similar but instead of black carbon, its silvery colored
Here is my DH's ring. He liked the two tone look. It cost us about $450.
I don't have a very good picture of it (this picture was taken in very low light), but here it is:
It's white gold, matte center, shiny around the edges, and with a 0.12ct princess cut diamond.
@ MyraG - The ring we ordered is actually a bit wider than the one in the picture - FI wanted it at 8mm so we had it custom made. Retail would have been like $1300, but we got it for $1000. Wish gold wasn't so pricey!
I stressed to my FI, I want him to LOVE it, since he has to wear it every day. He looked at webpages for about a month before he decided on this one:
@colom - FI thought your band was pretty cool, he said if we were getting married in the mountains he would have loved that one!
Here's what FI is in between now (we think):
Benchmark's tungsten (although this is the titanium photo) band with a center line
Same band, but in seranite (ceramic)
The ceramic is a little more fragile, but not much, and it runs about $200. The tungsten runs $400.
He had pretty much settled on the tungsten one and now suddenly he thinks he likes the really dark seranite.
@sooner -- That seranite band is the EXACT band my fiance just picked out; we just got it a couple of weeks ago! He loves it; it's black, light enough that he doesn't notice the weight of it, and the width he wanted!

My husband's was made by my cousin... makes it even more special! (taken at sunset on our honeymoon in Jamaica!)
I'm happy to see that my FI was not the only one who was so "thoughtful" about his ring. I don't know why I was so incredibly naive thinking that him picking out his ring would be easy and within budget. lol Anyways, we also live in the mountains and that was the one band he fell in love with and like Ella said - he has to wear it and therefore should love it! In case anyone is interested, we ordered it from Villiage Goldsmith in Estes Park, Colorado. You can google their website. :)
FI has a simple, platinum Tiffany's band (4.5mm). It is similar to this one in the picture. The band is wide enough for engraving...

Wow, I did not realize there was so much variety!
We are going to go with simple platinum bands, like what Yumi87 posted...
@colomtnbride-where did you find that ring? I love it!
@Yumi - that is FI's ring! We are not getting his from Tiffany, because they don't make it in white gold (and platinum scratches way too easily for FI) so our jeweler is making it in white gold for him. We just picked out rings on Friday!
@des salazar - thanks! We actually found it searching online and as it turned out, the jewler who custom makes the ring is in the same town as our venue! It was meant to be! Here's the website http://www.villagegoldsmith.com/. They are really nice too. We ordered his ring on Saturday and it should be ready in about 3 weeks.
My house just got burglarized and they stole my FI's wedding band!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :((((:((((:(((

@thefuturemrsgibbs - OMG, that's horrible! I'm so sorry to hear this! Was it insured? Did you have it covered under your homeowners policy? Sending better vibes your way...
colomtnbride Thanks. It wasn't insured, but we do have home owners insurance so hopefully that will cover it....
@Colette27 - My FI's ring is almost identical! They have great taste! :)

@colomntbride-Thanks! Estes was almost our venue as well. I love Estes Park more than any other city on earth!!!

@soonerphsych- I bought my FI the same ring in white gold. It's perfect. Not too big, but with just enough personality for him.
FHs ring on my thumb. Its Titanium and alot shinier in person. It took FH 11 stores to pick that one out!
