Hi Bees!
I'm getting married in December, and I'm wearing the maggie sottero Aurelie:
When I went in for my first fitting, I was shocked at how much the dress "poofed out" with a hoop skirt under it! Anyway, I thought I'd start a thread to see other bee's "princess dresses" to feel more inspired by my own!
Love the Aurelie - Gorgeous!
Here is mine
and on me - I want to get a hoop skirt to make it stay poofed out!

Here's mine! Please ignore the bra straps ... :p
ETA: Oh ack, file too big. I'll have to resize it when I'm home.
i love the aurelie gown! my second favorite. my princess gown is edwina marie by maggie.
it's my second true love...lol
@JewishBride: I hate to admitt it, but after I purchased my Aurelie, I briefly cheated on her with Edwina Marie *dies of shame* The Edwina Marie just doesn't fit our venue or theme all that well, but it is such a gorgeous dress!
@MercedesAshley: Your dress is absoulutely beatiful! What a commanding dress! I'm assuming you wore a large hoop skirt or crinoline underneath?
@Decemberbride: Thank You! & no I didn't have to have a hoop skirt... Just lots & lots of crinoline. It was hard work to get into. LOL!!
@Decemberbride I am also wearing the Aurelie!
@MercedesAshley: OMG, your dress is AMAZING!!!
Here's mine and the bustle that never was (the pic is from my final fitting - my mom forgot how to do ot on wedding day. grrr)
@ DIvine that bustle is INCREDIBLE - but to your mom's defense it does look confusing!
@FutureMrs.Martin - yeah...I got over it, eventually. The bad thing was a kept stepping on my dress the entire reception. Oh well! If that's the worst thing that happened that day I'll count it as a win.
Is it sad that I want to put the dress back on and just take pictures of the bustle? ;)
Hi Ladies,
This is actually my first post! Looking forward to wearing my dress in 23 days! Love the princess dresses!! They are all so gorgeous!
@mercedesashley: OMG and you looked like royalty! That dress is incredible. I think I just gasped when I saw it. What dress is that????
@divinemisse: I would be sad if that bustle never happened too, because I think it's the prettiest one I have ever seen!
@honeybun: Thank you!! It was my very first wedding dress I ever put on & I just fell in love with it. It is a Stephen Yearick (13158).
@lishcoo: Welcome! Beautiful dress! I'm sure you will look amazing!
These are such beautiful dresses! I almost fell in love with a big Judd Waddell strapless ball gown before I found my slim a-line, but a bit of my heart will always be with the princess dresses.
I only have a phone photo, but this is mine...
I didn't think I wanted one like this at all, but I LOVE it! Totally feel like me, and a bride, in it :)
Wow, your dress is beautiful! I am wearing the Monique Lhuillier Confetti alcenon lace top, the Monique Lhuillier Coco skirt, with a matching champagne colored double faced embroidered satin sash. I only have pictures of the actual dress though, lol.

Barbie has my sash, lol.
beautiful dresses ladies! im not personally a princess dress type(i dont think theyd look good on me) but i think they look lovely on others!
@Decemberbride you dress is absolutely GORGEOUS!
Here is mine and I did feel like a Princess. : )
Beautiful dresses!
Mine is a Jasmine and I want it to be as full as possible without wearing a hoop. I think I may wear two crinnies.
@Mermaid1082-Mine is a Jasmine too! They tried to get me to wear the hoop but I didnt even need it! It was so comfy and I loved it!
@Blondiebee - I've had the best experience with Jasmine. My dress is a custom design - the original was a portrait neckline. I agree, it's SO comfortable. I want to go try it on again...
@mermaid- I was told that Jasmine is the only dress that has a band inside to help hold the dress up and stay in place! Works well with skinny people. I danced all night long in it! I loved it! Dont worry you wont need a hoop!
It is Vera Wang. I got it as a sample from bridepower.com, which I definitely recommend!
Here's mine!

It was by far the best dress for the best price! Wouldn't trade it.
ladies, i am SWOONING over all of your beauuuuutiful dresses!
it's a bit early in the game for me, since i'm getting married in july 2011, but i think i've decided on a princess dress, and on a particular one at that. i almost died when i saw this one (and i've probably looked at all 8 million on theknot), and it has stuck in my mind as being the exquisite fairytale dress every little girl dreams of, with the exquisite details of the 19th-century couture i went gaga over during my period of obsession with fashion history from ages 15-19 or so. it has just the right amount of beading to me, the pick-ups are pretty and not annoying, the lace is incredible, the rosettes are just right...it's love (expensive love :( ). by pnina tornai:

i can't wait to put it on!
the irony is that i was between this look and this one: http://weddings.theknot.com/Dresses/52893/detailview.aspx?id=52893&type=31&Neckline=Sweetheart&Dresses+Gown+Dresses+Gown+Type=Wedding+Gowns&TM=31 they couldn't possibly be more different. the latter one is very 'me', but this is my wedding. when will i ever have the opportunity to wear something like a princess dress again? answer: never ever.
I think I took princess and ran with it. When else do you get to wear something like this? So fun! Cannot wait to wear it...
this is my ultimate dream ceremony dress by pnina tornai! luckily, im fortunate enough to be able to purchase it along with 2 others- 1 for reception and other for after party
