drdeebee:  I see your ring everywhere and it’s just so beautiful! When I was contemplating what I wanted in a ring, yours brought me very close to going with an oval! So so stunning, leaves me breathless everytime!

peacock0320:  thank you!!! I know I’ve posted it a ton of times! It was touch and go for me in the oval/cushion debate. What shape did you decide to go with?

drdeebee:  I decided on a radiant cut canary! Ovals and radiants are my top two favorite cuts. Emerald is up there too, but ovals and radiants are just to die for! 🙂

Sdavis:  GORGEOUS! It looks so much bigger than a 1.4 on your hand.

Sdavis:  drdeebee:   Love all of your ER’s!! Ovals are so beautiful!

I don’t mean to hijack but I was wondering if there was a certain lighting where your oval ER shows the bow tie more then others?  Mine has almost no bowtie in most indoor lighting but in really bright sunlight it seems to show up more.  I always thought it was the other way around.

Absolutely stunning! Ovals are my favourite. I also want to have similar type of oval for my wedding.

babykoala:  in order to catch the bowtie in mine I have to tilt my stone very specifically in bright light (like you) but I love when it catches! The stone has so much depth!! I asked about it when it was appraised and apparently my oval is slightly deeper so that tends to minimize the bowtie effect and means a better cut but Idk I’d love it to flash at me more often 🙂

drdeebee:  Your ring is gorgeous! Thanks for posting! I am trying to decide between a 9x7mm (~2.25ct) or 8mm (~2ct) oval FB moissanite solitaire.

It’s nice to see a real-life picture of a 2ct oval because I’ve been having trouble finding them! We willl be ordering a loose stone from Schubach jewelers in Arizona (We are in Indiana) so I won’t be able to see the stone until after we purchase it! Talk about nerve-wracking. Hopefully I can find something equivalent to try on at a local store before taking the plunge.

I am honestly worried about it being too big because I have a size 4 finger, but I am trying to convince myself that it won’t be much larger than the 2ct round I have tried on — right? I do want the stone to be a little larger because of how “plain” the setting I want is.

To summarize, I am probably stressing myself out for no reason 😛 If you could post more photos that would be great!!  <br />

MsDub:  here is m oval.  It’s GIA cert., .94, Internally flawless, G color.  Size 5.  The halo was custom made but I can’t remember the totally carat weight.  They are half pointers, in G color also.  My oval has an atypical cut, so it does not have a bowtie.  That was a priority for me.  Took me forever to pick this diamond, lol.
