This pretty much set teh stage for everything else...the time, the decor, the "theme"...
Black & White with a royal purple as the accent color, and touches of black & white damask!
This is the photo that inspired my planning. It was taken at Matangi Resort in Fiji (where we want to go for our honeymoon) and it is our wedding colors (red and orange, not pink).
Ooo this is a hard one. I do have one that inspired my colors, but probably not the whole wedding. Here it is!
What I based all of my wedding dreams on, started with this picture, but than I fell in love with a second picture!!! So I love these two pictures, but now I've been thinking about this for like 2 months and I have thousands of pics .... haha
@krgk84: That was the exact photo I used for inspiration, as well!! I'm a black and white damask bride, with purple accents....it's nice to see another has done the same theme. =) It's definitely unique, and not used often!
And I just saw that you're from Indiana...as am I! Small world.
It took me a while to actually decide on what I wanted. There are so many great ideas and themes and such out there that it was difficult, but something caught my attention in Bridal Wars that won me over. I donot have the picture from the scene but i will show you the object that made my mind up.
@ Miss Pinot Grigio
Thanks! Yep I love it! Although I find I get a little carried away with finding cute Damask items! hahaha...I'll be out shopping and see some cute damask item that I really don't even need but somehow I figure out a way to incorporate it! ;)
Yep you aren't far away! Did you get married in Indy? (Congrats btw!) Oh and....I freaking love Pinot Grigio...lol
This photo from Michelle Rago is what started my Organic Glam theme.
I love the hydrangeas and fell in love with them while looking at wedding photos and centerpiece photos.
Yikes. I can't think of a picture...my vision sort of evolved gradually once I had picked my colors. I picked the colors from spying on an aquaintence's facebook page of her bridal party attire. (chocolate brown and celadon/sage green.)
This Snippet and Ink board had a lot to do with my vision...which is now sort of romantic and elegantly rustic. Not quite backyard wedding, yet not quite formal. Hmm...maybe it's still evolving!
This was one of the very first things I found when I started the planning process. It inspired my color scheme & vintage accents.
These photos from Modern Bride inspired my eggplant and cantaloupe color combination.
I know this is kind of lame, but seriously, I planned the entire feel, theme and decor of my wedding around my dress. Here it is (if the pic won't load, i linked it HERE and HERE):
Okay I couldn't upload the main picture that made my heart go pitter patter originally, but I also added this vintage black and white drawing which really inspires me. We want our wedding to be vintage, comfort, hospitality themed....
I decided our wedding colors through this cake from Papillon Cakes. I loved it cause it fit my love for simple design and FI's love of orange (his fave team's main color!)
And it just fit our personalities. We're not afraid to be different, and have fun!! :)
