i’m going to pay attention to this thread, lol.  it seems if it’s not white/ivory/champagne, it’s red or pink.  😛  i’d love a blue gown.

@cardus: my mom wore a blue dress for her wedding.  it was a very pale blue.  Unfortunately I don’t have any picutres on my computer but just wanted to let you know that people actually do that.

@Meowkers:  oh i know.  i know of one gown by ella bridals and one by mia solano, both of which are available in pale blue.  i tried on the ella but wasn’t crazy about it.  i can’t find the mia solano sample anywhere.  blue gowns are rare, but apparently they exist, lol.

Some eye candy to tide you over until someone posts their dress…

Oscar de la Renta has some gorgeous colored dresses in the spring collection…totally not in my budget, but I love these!

I wore a prom dress  I got at a prom/wedding trunk show. I paid $200 total which was exactly my budget (limit given by my mother, who was paying for it). I was doubting my choice for a while since it’s not the traditional white dress and I’m never going to get to wear one, even though my mom and seamstress were in love with it and it fit me really well. All my doubts were blown away when my family saw me at the ceremony and they were all super impressed and kept repeating how they loved it. I would definitely recommend a prom dress.

@Aerya:  if i can find the right color, silhouette, and style with a prom dress that ALSO has a train, i’ll be all over that.  that’s my one hangup…if it doesn’t have a train, i don’t feel bridal.  😛

@dynamic_duo: I think I know the one you mean, as I love it too 😉 There’s also a bee with a beautiful black and white gown, it’s so striking.
