I would like this cake please... its so so so pretty, just with orange ribbon! I think I got my inspiration off here but I cant remember whose cake it is!
Everyone thinks my inspiration cake is ugly. I'm not even going to post it because you'll all say the same thing. But people's negative comments have made me even more excited for my ugly cake! I promise my ugly cake is going to rock!! I can't wait for my bridesmaids to eat their words---literally!
evie- I would like to see ugly cake too, because everything you have posted I have liked and I am pretty sure I am going like ugly cake!
Here is mine, except that the colors will be soft pink and white and the cake will be CHEESECAKE.

CHARIS--you are so sweet! I even went to bakers this last weekend and THEY even said it was an ugly cake! it's becoming a running joke.... I don't know if you guys can handle the ugliness of my cakespiration!

I love swiss dots on cakes, its so simple but elegant. I don't know why buy I do. I think they are called swiss dots.
@VirginiaMarie - I wanna see your cake! Please? Who cares if others think its ugly, its yours. I love different ideas!
Here's mine! Currently inspiration, hopefully will become actual (minus the bumble bees and ladybugs!). I'm all about buttercream; no fondant here. I'll prob change the blue to a shimmer gold if I can but otherwise I simply adore it.
And @VirginiaMarie I have to know what an ugly cakespiration looks like! You've peaked my curiosity!

@MissDallas - I don't like fondant either, hate it really. It looks nice and everything but buttercream is so yummmy!
@Min those are my thoughts exactly! haha I didn't want to say it before but okay...I admit it! I also hate fondant :)

This is my inspirtation, but we are doing birds instead of butterflies, and it will be buttercream instead of fondant
@KiKi82 - That was my first inspiration! At least is was something like it. Same kind of pink flowers and everything. But that was before we picked our colors and theme. But I LOVE it.
@Min- Ya my FI loved this cake so I let him pick it. I'm hoping it will go with our theme though-enchanted forest! Our flowers are black magic roses and orchids on Mananita trees. But he really liked this cake! To try to tie things together I'm going to sprinkle rose petals around the cake. What is you theme now?
We wended up doing the fall theme and colors. And my flowers will be orange tiger lilies mainly with some accent colors of red, green and golden yellow. We aren't using flowers in our center pieces but I love my bouquet so much that I want to incorporate it in the reception. So the same flowers will go on our cake as well. My little icon is my boquet. Id upload it but it wont work.

I see that some other bees are going with Swiss dots as well! I just love them. They're very simple, but elegant. This is ours:
Only we'll have green ribbon instead of the blue. Our centerpieces will be milk glass, and I have a milk glass cake stand that belonged to my great-grandmother that's very similar to the one in the picture. My baker expressed concern over it maybe not being strong enough to hold the weight of the cake, but I really hope we will be able to use it!
@whitehyd - Im with you on the swiss dots. Also my cake lady just informed us that some cakes she does are like 75 lbs!!! They can be preey heavy. I think that is one with more than three layers but still...75 lbs!!!
@lilperiwinkle - that is so cute! Love it!

Hahah Sorry! I've been googling "ugly wedding cakes" Look at this Hilarious topper I found: 
Here is mine. We are doing pinks and purples instead of the blue/brown combo. And instead of 2 with pasiley design one will be with a stripe design. The toppers for the two will be flowers on one and our Inital on the other. The bow topper on the dots will stay. Also one cake will sit higher and one lower because we are using different height stands.
Here's our cake. It was vanilla and chocolate and had yummy frosting (no fondant for us!).

HAHAHAHHA oh gosh bees....I don't know! I'm not even shy, I don't why I haven't posted it yet. I'm proud of my ugly cake.
This is my inspiration cake. It goes with our yellow color scheme. Also, it's made out of lemon pound cake which I find really interesting...and yummy. I also like the textured look of the frosting, it kind of reminds me of stucco. The yellow garnish is actually candied lemon zest. I'd probably only have a 3 or 4 tiered cake though, and probably have flowers as the cake topper (possbily daisies).
My cake is going to be white fondant with buttercreme underneath (mmmm yummy!)
My flavor is lemon and raspberry filling on the bottom and top layer and the middle layer is passionfruit (sooo good! and different). My cake is 4 tier but the bottom is styroform ;)
My cake is white round with green leaf type patterns going around...I'll post pictures asap of the inspiration :)

Im trying to decide on how I want our cake but would love to see some inspiration. Here is mine, the first is what I want the cake to look like, the second are the flowers and color of the flowers we will use but fewer of them. I want something simple. What do you bees want?
