I'm so excited about my dress. I dont think the model does the dress justice but when I wear it I feel like the ultimate princess! It's head to toe lace with pearl and crystal accents covering the whole dress. I will wear a white satin sash around my waist with the bow in the back and a gorgeous brooch in the front.
Show us bees your dress and tell us why you love it so much!
Happy Sunday!
I love these posts! :)
Here is my baby! I love her because (you can't see in the pictures) the lace has little tiny polka dots. The lady at the store has some fancy name for it, but I forgot it. Haha. There are crystals and beading down the lace on mine as well!
Your dress is beautiful BTW! :)

These dresses are so beautiful!!!
When i was shopping around for dresses i always had in mind that the dress i will have is going to be with lace. One day i went to Alfred Angelo store and a sales girl showed me dressed that were completely not the kind i was looking for, one of them ended up being my DRESS!
Here it is.....
What i like about it, the material it is made out of, the crystal/beading work and it felt perfect when they put it on me! I did not go for the white dress, i decided that mine is going to be the same color as the model is wearing, i think they call it almond/metallic.
Here's mine! Only the pink is ivory on mine so it's tone on tone. Much more my style. I love the yards and yards of ivory mikado silk. Cathedral train and lots of classic box pleating. Not princessy but dramatic!
Here's mine, the maggie sottero chantilly/alfred angelo R112. I love the lace and cascading tiers!
Love these posts! Here is mine - I feel like a princess in it.
i'd been loving on this dress for months and finally tried it on friday. it was all over. since then every dress i've been looking at i've just been comparing to this dress instead of examining it in its own right, so i'm going to have to make another appt. at kleinfeld and buy it. too bad it costs an arm and a leg and i might have to sell it afterwards. :O

I just ordered mine yesterday! I'm so excited. And yes, I got it in the blue.
Wow!! Everyone's dresses are beautiful!!
@Mrs.lorson and @mmm31911, I really love both of your dresses. They are the style I think I want...who are the designers?
Thank you!
I love all the dresses posted! Kudos to the girls brave enough not to go in white! I had to go with white because of the meaning behind the white dress - thank you Queen Victoria!
The white wedding dress was a symbol of wealth. Because the dress could not be washed or reused for other occasion, it was evidence that the bride's family could afford to spend money on an extravagant dress. Through much of the early 20th century, only a rich woman could afford to wear a white wedding dress; most women still wore dresses in various colors.
My dress is from Davids Bridal it is 200 dollars cheaper now than it was when I bought it 10 months ago. It's absolutely stunning when you try it on. I even added a second petticoat and it's even bigger and better! Love it!
I hesistated about not wearing white, but I eventually decided that white just isn't my color. It doesn't go well with my fair skin tone and blue is my favorite color. Plus, the navy of the dress matches some of the blue in the glass of the windows of the church we chose.
waooo ladies you all look awesome and those dresses are spectacular
Here is my dress!! I did not think I would like a dress with lace and when I saw it on the rack I wanted to try it on, but my sister stuck her nose up at it and said, "you wont like that dress, its lace!" When I put it on I fell in love with it and so did everyone else! I love that its not white and I think the sash makes the dress! My dress makes me feel beautiful! I just hope my FI thinks the same thing!

aliceo: wow, you are right! the fit of that dress on you is amaaaazing! your body looks BANGIN' in it. SO jealous! you're going to be absolutely stunning on your wedding day.
can't wait till i purchase my dress and can take pictures of myself in it!!! :D
These pictures don't quite do the dress justice because the seamstress was working on the bustle when they were taken--the train is chapel length and really lovely. BUT, I wanted to share because I really love this dress. It is perfect and not too fussy for my outdoor wedding. I wanted to feel like a bride (done) but because the wedding is outside, the dress couldn't be too big or super elaborate. Plus I think it makes my waist look tiny (BONUS). All of you ladies have picked beautiful dresses!
@future Mrs.M and veganglam
Thank you so much!! I'm so happy with it - it's exactly what I wanted!
I just posted this a couple of days ago... but I bought the Maggie Sottero Madison dress on Monday and I couldn't be happier! I had such a hard time finding a dress and this one was just perfect for me... The fabric, the subtle, simple details...I am in love ... thankfully finding my FI wasn't as hard as finding a dress LOL
My dress: Doing changes to the neckline when I have it altered in a few months so it fits around the top area then ill be happy with it :)
Here is my dress...I also agree that this model does not do my dress justice. If I had run across it online I would have passed it by...but I LOVE my dress on me!
All of your dresses are gorgeous!
I love my dress, because it has everything I wanted my dress to: sweetheart, sexy fit but not too much, ivory, somewhat of a train, I feel like a princess w/o all the weight (it's so light), and BLING!! I feel amazing in it!
99% positive EVERYONe here has seen my dress...I swear one day Ill stop posting photos of it (hehe maybe not!) but here it is again

I wish I could show you bees, but my FH reads my posts sometimes. I want to keep it a secret. All I can say is that we bought a princess dress and we are going to do some alterations and transform it to a mermaid dress. It will be customized to fit my body perfectly and I can't wait for it to be done.
@Miss.larson - so sorry if I kill your thread by posting! I seem to jinx threads with pictures of my dress :) But here it is:
haha thread killer =o) @MissParis - who makes that? I almost bought a similar one and I loooved it
@kellyv - it's Pronovias, I think it's from the 2008 collection. And yay! I didn't kill the thread!!!
Beautiful dresses ladies!
I love mine because it had everything I wanted in a dress. It also had a few changes made from the original so it feels like a custom made dress.
Pic 1- orignal dress
Pic 2- more of what it's going to look like

here's mine... had it custom-made by a seamstress after i realised that it was too difficult to locate a pronovias gown in my area (which is what the design is based on)
and here's the back... it had a bow that was attached on... but obviously not very well, because it came off halfway through the reception
*happy sigh* so many beautiful dresses. :)
I already posted my dress in the Mermaid thread, but I figured I'd post it here too. Here's my dress, it's a Marisa, I'm not sure of the style number.
@MissParis - THATS THE DRESS I ALMOST BOUGHT! I loooooved it - Though I was going to have the illusion neck removed and have it made into little cap sleeves. Until I found my dress that is ;) Love it!
