I love wedding dresses, and the whole process of finding the dress.  It was such an amazing and interesting experience for me, and I thought that since we are able to put pics in posts now, that we could have a show me your dress thread.

    Here's mine:

    Here is my Casablanca 1831:

I should have shopped around some more, but the sales woman was pushy and I caved.  The material wasn't as soft as I wanted and while I thought I wanted something simple, I now know I should've picked a dress that was a little more elaborate.

I have the Paloma Blanca 3860 and love it!!! I think its quite 'now' yet timeless. That first dress on this thread is absolutely stunning. Who designs that?

That is Sophia Tolli--Dolce.  She has many beautiful dresses, and all 3 I tried on were beyond spectacular.  This one just really popped a little more than the other two. (They are really affordable too...)

I bought the Marisa 710. Shown here in size 10 (ordered a 4).  We did some interesting clipping with mini binder clips in the chest area to take in the fabric for the pics.  Hence the lumpiness : )   Wait, am I supposed to show random people my dress!?

I can't wait to order my dress. It will be custom so I am waiting just a little longer before sending in my measurements. I have been in love with these short dresses for a while.  This is by Dolly Couture and is slightly custom from her collection right now.  I don't want strapless.

Mine was an Anne Barge, a very beautiful dress, but not what I wanted in the end...guess it was missing a little blt of the bling factor I wanted but oh well.  My photos are on our other computer, so I'll post them from there.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE mine!!! Monique Lhuillier's Evangeline!  Too bad i can't find a picture anywhere...

correction: i DID find one, but the model wearing it looks like she desperately needs to eat a sandwich and her whole skeletor-like body really detracts from the entire dress.

What regrets? Well, I actually bought two dresses.  My Nicole Miller I bought off of ebay for 200.00 dollars.  When I got it, it was a little too small in some areas, and the top was a little too big.  When I brought it in to a bridal store for alterations, the seamstress almost put me in tears.  She just kept shaking her head saying it was impossible to fix because of the cut of the dress (understandable).  She agreed to try, and I thanked her.  I startred freaking out that it  couldn't be fixed and decided to order another dress from j.crew-

I fell in love with her.  At the time though, she was running for 1500 dollars.  When I got her, she was beautiful- but not worth 1500 (she's not worth the 1000 they are charging now- the fabric is pretty thin and there's only one layer- at most they should be charging 700 for this dress). When I got my Nicole Miller back, it was no longer too small, but the top was still a little big (in some of our pictures it looks like it's falling down).  I made a decision to send back the j crew gown and wear the cheaper dress.  In hindsight, I'm glad I made the decision- but I'll always wonder :)

If I had to do again I would wear something like this:

    http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Browse/WeddingParties/womens/forthebride/PRDOVR~86454/86454.jsp

I love the nicole miller, but at heart, I'm a jcrew girl :)

Oh, I love love love my dress. I actually bought a different one at a priscilla of boston sample sale, but it just wasn't THE ONE. I started trying on other things at other places, and couldn't get this ONE DRESS out of my head. It was an Anjolique. 1010, I think?

Here's some pictures! I can't decide how full a crinoline I should go with. The pic of me in it is with no crinoline, but you can't really see the beautiful draping without it. Any feedback is welcome!

My dress is a David's Bridal that was being discontinued, so it was a steal!

My only dress regret is that it has sheer sleeves and I'm pretty sure that is going to make it look dated in a few years.  However, I felt like I'd prefer dated pictures than pictures I hated because my arm flab showed!

@Driftslikesmoke-  I think I just fell in love with your dress too.  It is gorgeous.  Typically, I'm not a huge fan of crinoline for myself (I feel stay-puffed in it!), but with your tiny waist and the beautiful draping, I think it would be a great addition.  It doesn't have to be the poofiest crinoline in the world, and you have the added benefit of being able to dye it if you want!  I wish I could see the front of it on you...

@rosy- I don't think that will look dated at all.  You picked a beautiful look!
