I just love the yellow gold and yellow diamond accents on the shoulders of my ring! Let's see your special/unusual details!
Mine has little hearts around it that forms a crown that holds the diamond. It's not obvious and can only be seen from the side but we both love that little detail that makes it a bit different.
i have two phoenixes (phoenices? lol) holding up my little fiery spark.
I've fairly well coated WB with photos, but, what the heck...
Our wooden wedding bands :)
Here is my pretty, a branch style band (we decided to go with the split band) with sapphire details.
@aliavenue: I love the idea of the wooden wedding bands, are they durable enough for daily ware? are they treated special somehow?

Well, I used to feel like my sapphire band was an original detail but if seems to be getting more popular. I realize sapphires are a traditional wedding stone but I am still a bit bitter. :) So much for orginiality.
I enjoyed this post. You have shown me that your wedding rings and celebrations can be whatever you want it to be. Whatever is memorable for the couple is what matters.
My ring has leaf/vine details within the split shank. I love the little surprises in all of your rings!
@burris4: Thank you! It sparkles a lot more than in those pictures, but it's so hard to capture the detail when it's sparkly! I love your sapphire wedding band! I haven't seen very many like it, and I think it is definitely original :)
@MrsGo: Ahh I have hearts in mine too! I actually didn't like them when I got it, but love them now. I even chose a wedding band that wouldn't cover them up...

I wish mine had some killer details . . I do love it though! I just drool over the super intricate ones like on this post.
haha, I get the "unique" comment too... but it truly is. The details I love are the coin-edge finish on the setting (it shimmers so beautifully), the textured matte finish on the shank, and the variation in tone of the mini-diamonds in the halo...
@starbuck: I love your ring! It looks like a raw diamond halo, which i love though I have never actually seen it in real life, but Is that grey diamond a rose cut!??!! I love it!

Mine has a heart detail on the side, although it's not a complete heart. It's actually my avatar picture :)
The date on this day-by-day calendar was the day my FI proposed :)
The small diamon on the bottom of my band hides inside my wedding band (not pictures). There are also 2 small diamonds on the square tops of the band.
My set was custom made so it is unique, however I love the line that is embedded in the gold. I only wanted yellow gold which is unusual in this day and age. And I wanted a blue stone so aqua it was :)

@takemyhand: Ring buddies! I am planning to get hidden diamonds like you have but in my wedding band and guess what? I'm getting married in Ontario! :-)
@MrsGo: Sweet!! Love hidden diamonds (it's like my secret bwhahahaha!) and I have lived everywhere in Ontario from Thunder Bay to Toronto. I love this province :)
The Scroll work and Diamonds under the Diamond are kind of unique on mine. The scroll work was why FI picked this one :)
Mine has a little surprise diamond on each side. I just love it so much!
I LOVE the details of my ring! It's detailed completely out.

@MrsGo: I too have the heart crown! Not exactly the same, but similar idea!
I have two that aren't so unusual anymore (I see them on here a lot) but I found them unique to me:
First, the little surprise side diamond, and the little "bridge" under my center stone...
The other one is my raised basket for my halo:
These aren't great pics, but they show the detail fairly well. The band is white gold, the heart & infinity symbols are all hand-drawn in yellow gold
