I love Pad sapphires! Yours looks like a peice of candy and I love that halo of diamonds.
Mine's a blue diamond, still pretty rare in the US, big in the caribbean and the UK. FI's choice!
White sapphire, blue diamond, green diamond. And yellow gold--no one seems to do that anymore!
The stones are small by choice--I hate big poky things sticking off rings on my hands! (Fine with them on other people's hands, though!)
Thanks! I worked with a jeweler on Esty to design it myself, and it was $406 total! What a steal!
Yours is great, too--I could never wear it, but it's great to look at! I'm glad to see that someone else has a yellow gold ring, too!
You are very welcome. You got a good price. I am glad to see another yellow gold ring too. It seems like everyone has white or something else.
Lovely, cbott! How does the e-ring look solo? I can't tell from the picture whether it's off-center or something so the stone is centered between the e-ring band and wedding band.
Always love to show off my shiny! It's a princess cut green sapphire.
BTW I always giggle when I get the ring cleaned and check at the jewelers it's in the system as a "fashion ring".
Yeah, it's centered in the solitaire setting.. Actually, they aren't a matched set, I didn't even buy them at the same place. I would take a pic of just the solitaire but it's soldered to the band. I just took a picture of it straight on, sorry about the bad lighting and everything.
Oh so pretty rings.
I am so glad to see so many nontraditional erings. I love diamonds, but I think the nontraditional stones make a statement.
MissBanana, what etsy designer did you go through? I LOVE blue and green diamonds and would love a band made of both. I really like your ring, since the sapphire is largest, it looks like a Picasso three stone ring!
@MissBanana, I'd love to see what your ring looks like on your hand. It's such a cool design!
Noritake, your ring almost looks like a solitaire with a diamond wrap. It's beautiful.
@Goodie: Good eye :-) It is a solitaire with a diamond wrap! They are made into one piece. I will be getting a matching wedding ring with diamonds in it for the ceremony.
@MissGopher: Very nice ring :-)
FI designed it - so it's one of a kind :)
I'll pass on the compliments, thank you
Love the rings! Mine is an aquamarine in platnium with diamonds. It took forever to find what we were looking for.

Mine is a cushion cut sapphire with emerald cut diamonds on either side. (please excuse my pinky -- I've jammed it a number of times playing basketball in my younger days!)
Mine is actually getting made now. I ordered the band and I am having a black diamond set in it for the main stone. I cannot wait to get it, I am so excited about it and I know it is something not everyone will have.
I debated back and forth if I wanted a diamond or an aquamarine (my birthstone) as the center stone. In the end I went with the diamond because I really wanted my FI's birthstone (sapphire) also set as side stones. He knew I wanted an antique look to the band with etchings and he worked with the jeweler himself. He also added his grandmother's small sides stones from her e-ring as peek-a-boo stones on my ring. I love it!
I'm not engaged yet, but I'm in love with these:

Does anyone else know where I can look for hammered gold engagement rings?
I got an eternity band instead of a solitaire, and a thinner eternity band for my wedding band. i will probably stack another ring in there at some point.
Oh My GOSH! Curlysue!
That is one of the most beautiful rings I have ever seen. I have worked as a jeweler and seen many rings, very lovely!!!!!!
Here is my baby. 2.01ct Morganite (Pink Emerald) with 2 teeny tiny diamonds (one on either side). I love her very very much, and am so glad that I have a coloured stone. the first pic is out in the bright early morning sun which is why it is refelcting so much. The second one is a bit out of focus but i think shows the colour really well.

@be2much- do you have yours done yet? I'm super curious what the black diamond looks like!! And I agree with cbee- your ring is GORGEOUS Curleysue!!!
Here's my blue diamond. =)
@Nic1520: as a bit of a hand creeper I just wanted you to know that your ring looks beautiful on your hand. so many women dont understand about getting what suits their fingers, not just their personal style.

I just love my ering, so I have to show it off.
It is a Padparadscha/orange sapphire surrounded with diamonds set in yellow gold.
I thought is it would be fun to see others' nontraditional erings, so please show them off ladies
