With all of the new engagements this past holiday season, I figured I would start up a new post! I always love looking at my fellow bee's rings! Who doesn't love a little ring porn! ;) So let's see'em! :D
Not a very good picture. The one on the left is my promise ring and the one on the right is my engagement ring. They are way more sparkly in real life.
Emshaw, your ring if beautiful! It was so cool, I had to show it to FI and HE said it was beautiful! What kind of stone is that, if I (we) may ask?
Thanks Dizzy & Sharron!!
@Dizzy it's an amethyst surrounded by 24 diamonds. We had it created by a seller on Etsy, drndesigns. I really love having such a unique ring, it's definitely us!
Emshaw, your ring is AMAZING. Just beautiful. What kind of stone is that? I saw a similar one in garnet the other day and it was hard not to buy it. :)
@spaniel it's an amethyst. The jeweller did an amazing job picking the stone, the color is super vibrant!
Oooh lovely rings everyone! SweetheartDealer: yay for princess cuts! :) Here's mine:
Thanks Nexus, that's what drew me into it! I love vintage styles...
and HIlsy, I remember that giant rock! Love it!!!
Beautiful rings ladies! I'm drooling over here!!!
@grace8367: I LOVE YOUR RING! It is exactly what I want. May I ask for any details you are wiling to give? Carat weight, where you purchased it, ect. You can PM me if you'd like. I would greatly appreciate it!! :)
@ mmm31911
I don't mind sharing- center stone is 2.16 carats and it's from an independent jeweler in Chicago. Will PM you with all the details in case you want to use them- Thanks!
Ooh, I'll play. Hopefully I'll have the right sized photos....
Love 'em ladies! Hostess Lillindy thought it would be great for you all to get a chance to show off your rings on the blog! Because I don't want to use your pics without your permission, if you want your ring to show up in the blog, post your shots in this new thread:
Last year we ran a series of ring shots and they were a huge hit! Check out the rings of last year here for creative inspiration!:

love to show it, i can't stop startint at it myself. Got engaged this past thanksgiving!
Took this one just as I put it on for the first time! Best Christmas present ever!
@ Madswan & Julie: Your rings are so cool! Not too many pressure/tension set erings out there. Do you happen to know if those settings are as secure are prongs?
@mariaNYC - My ring is a sort of tension setting but not quite - hard to explain - held in by the tension of the bars, but at the same time, still has a basket (?) underneath each diamond - anyway - my jeweler actually said they are more secure than prongs because you can catch a prong easily and bend it/ break it/ weaken it, but it's near impossible to do that with a tension setting. Mrs. Pineapple has a unique tension setting http://www.weddingbee.com/2008/04/16/you-bet-your-sweet-pineapple-i-will/
@mariaNYC - Everything LilaGrayce said! The only advice I have if you are considering one is to make sure that you get it from a reputable tension ring maker if you want one with no basket/bar underneath. I've had no problems in the 8 months I've had and worn my ring, and I am pretty rough on jewelry.
MariaNYC I worried about that too when I first got my ring, but my jeweler said that they were stronger than prong settings as well. I know my moms ring had broken a prong so i would have worried about it either way i guess. So far so good!
Here is mine! The center stone is a yellow sapphire and the wedding band is channel set diamonds.
I love how there are so many different, beautiful setting and options when it comes to rings. FI picked mine out all on his own... I think he did an AWESOME job! Sorry for the goofy on the finger pic, it's all I have at work.
