i dont know? i havent seen this done before.. so not too sure, but i thiink ppl wuld like to be recognised as giving a gift if they did bring money.. putting them in a box might seem as though you just want their money not their well wishes?
I say no. It is very presumptuous to put it out and may offend some people since the shower is for gifts not money.
I would say no too, if I saw one somewhere I think it'd make me feel like my gift wasn't good enough and you wanted cash. Just my opinion.

Should I bring my card box to the wedding shower. I know some people will give money and I dont know if its ok to have them put them in the box or if people prefer for you to read them aloud??? Please help...
