Here’s a random question for you: throughout the day, do you keep the shower curtain open or closed? It’s one of those silly things that Fiance and I disagree on, and think the other is absolutely crazy for not seeing our point of view. So, what do you prefer? Keep it closed so that the bathroom looks neater and more put together, or keep it open so it’s bigger and less claustrophobic? To keep things unbiased, I’ll refrain from saying where I stand on the matter 🙂 Thanks for your help – hopefully this will ‘prove’ to Fiance that I’m not absolutely crazy! lol

Definitley closed! I hate seeing all the junk inside.

I leave it open. Only reason is because it airs out better and I have to clean it less. And by clean I mean throw it out and replace it. 🙂

open. Everything dries easier that way. However, I do pull it open towards the side that the shower head and caddy is on so it still blocks all the stuff from being visible.

Closed – if its left open and bunched together, it breeds mold. Learned that the hard way!

I keep it closed because it airs out the shower curtain so it doesn’t get mildewy. When it’s left open, the curtain sticks to itself and nasty crap grows in it. EW!! Luckily my roommates all agree with keeping it closed. My SO keeps it open but when I’m visiting he closes it because he knows I prefer it that way. So cute!

Depends. Afer I shower, I just tend to leave it open. If guests are coming over or I am cleaning the bathroom, it gets put in the ‘display’ mode and it is left closed.
It does make the bathroom look better when it is closed, I think.
I think it’s similar to making my bed. I only do it to make the room look better or if guests are coming over. haha
ETA: I’m getting confused on what is now consider open and closed. Open (see inside of shower) or Closed (don’t see inside of shower and only see shower curtain) OR Open shower curtain (only see shower curtain) or Closed (bunched up shower curtain)

I keep it open but only because I’m a wimp and if it’s closed I get all paranoid that an axe murderer is hiding behind it.

@Gingersnap: I get that fear but seeing what happened when FH let his old curtain dry all bunched up for several years, the mold scared me into having it mostly closed.
(same goes for giving bath mats a good wash- ick!)

We leave it about 75% closed. I’m another one of those people who has an odd “someone might be hiding in the shower” fear…. 🙂 If it’s open just a little bit, I can peek inside! Lame, I know…

I keep it closed i dont want it getting moldy when its all bunched up and we have a wall hanger for the kiddos toys so guests dont need to see that… (oh the joys of only having one bathroom)

@Knubbsy-Wubbsy: Our bath mat has never been washed, ever. It was purchased in Setember and gets used 6 times a day (6 people live in my house). I don’t even want to think of how nasty it really is.

Closed, open definatly is bad for mold and just sloppy looking, I don’t want people to see all my shower stuff if they use the bathroom!
