That's a lot of favors! Did other brides-to-be give favors to all the guests that were invited? What type of thing did they do?
If it were me, I would probably try to identify the people who were hosting the wedding shower (I'm guessing that all 200 people aren't exactly hosting it...) and get something nice for them.
It's pretty common for the brides to bring something for the group... I've seen personalized cookies, chocolates, spice rubs, candles, clocks, wine stoppers and flowers/plants. :)
Here are some ideas I have:
1. Tins filled with mints for "church candies". Every little old lady in the church has a stash of candies they give out... so its practical. I just hope it doesn't look cheap.
2. Soap
3. Candle
What do you think??
I like the ideas you've posted :) In terms of edible favors... are you a good baker? What about baking cookies and wrapping them up? Or a chocolate covered strawberry ala this DIY. Even a cute lollipop all wrapped up would make a nice little favor, I think.
So nice of these ladies to throw you a shower!

Oh how cute, Blueshoes! :) I love the cookie favor... the cake balls are cute, but I've made them before and they were a disaster haha.
I think I may start another thread with votes from all the girls! I went from no ideas to too many...

The church that I grew up in (and I still attend) is hosting a wedding shower for my FI and I. We're a LD couple & he's going to be here at the end of the month. The Priest's wife knows we pushed our date back, but she says she still wants to host the party because she wants there to be enough time for us to get all our goodies shipped back to his home.
She's being incredibly kind and since none of these women are invited to my wedding, I want to give them all a favor as a thank you! Oh and I know this in an etiquette no-no... if someone isn't invited to the wedding then they shouldn't be invited to a shower, but this is how the ladies in my church roll. I tried to decline, but they've been waiting for this shower for a year now lol. I myself have been to countless showers for women that I'd never even met before because they were marrying members from our church! :)
So anyway, I need 200 favors & I have NO idea what to give these ladies! I'm thinking about going with an edible favor... but I don't know what to do! Any and ALL ideas are welcome!
