At my brother-in-law's "jack and jill" shower the host gave away the centerpieces she had made.
I think it would depend on what the theme is. You could do a small bag of peanuts in the shell and one of the cool colorful Jones sodas, and give it a cute sports themed card maybe like "Thanks for making our shower a slam dunk/homerun/etc. That would make it more boy-ish. :-)
Thanks for the suggestions.
The shower will be pretty informal. There is no theme as such that I know of, just a Sunday afternoon summer party. I'd like to have something that I could give everyone as they were leaving.
Any other suggestions?
We gave away bars of personalized soap. It was mostly women attending, but my fiance liked the soap as much as the woman did!
We are having our coed shower this Saturday. I had a hard time trying to figure out what to get the guys as well. Our "everybody" favors are just favor bags with m&m's and some cute compacts in the shape of purses for the ladies. We have a bunch of games and I bought some IPOD Shuffles (3) for the bigger prizes. Anyhow, gift cards to Starbucks or Bestbuy are good too.
Thanks for the ideas so far.
I don't know if we're going to have games as such, so I wanted a little gift to give everyone when they're leaving just as a thank-you. I would do cookies and milk but it will likely be too hot out for milk :)
any other ideas?

I am having a "jack and jill" (i.e. boys and girls) shower and am wondering what I should give as gifts to my guests.
I'm looking for something cheap :)... and maybe even homemade if possible.
Thanks in advance for your ideas!
