So I had a bridal shower on Sunday and got tons of lovely stuff! I’m starting my thank you cards and I have a question. I had two people come up to me at the end of the shower to encourage me to exchange their gift (in one case I got duplicate pans that I had registered for, the other I just got a TOOON of pyrex dishes).
I am exchanging these items. Should I say what I exchanged it for in the Thank you card? Or just act like I kept it? With the pans, I actually ended up keeping the pans from the preson and exchange the other ones, since they had a gift receipt – so I could also point out that I kept hers?

I think for the pans, I would thank the person and say that you decided to keep hers. For the pyrex dishes-if you aren’t keeping them, I would tell the person what you exchanged them for, and how much you appreciated the gift and the thought. By the way I <3 pyrex dishes, they are so nice to use for casseroles or for using for individual servings depending on the size.

I think that will work 🙂 I just don’t want to be like “Oh I loved the pans” and have the person worrying that I either just kept them and had way too many, or that I returned them and didn’t say so.
I love pyrex dishes as well! However, I got like two sets of 16 pieces (8 dishes + 8 lids each) and then a full set of white corningware (which serves similar purposes) and then like 10 more individual dishes. I live in a tiny condo! Pyrex was a popular choice 😀
