Beekeeper
J's mom asked if she can throw us a shower with their extended family during the one week that we're in Michigan this summer. We'll be in town like ... 7 days.
I anticipate my mom wanting to throw us one as well, for my family, and maybe my MOH with some old friends (? not sure - I'm not worried about asking her to do something else instead though). We've already got a friend in DC planning a shower for us, and my friends here in China have asked if they can throw me and my engaged friend a joint one.
I don't really want five showers.
So ... is there a tactful way for me to suggest to my FMIL that she invite my family too? My mom is NOT much of a planner, or I'd say they could plan one together, but I worry about asking her to just lump on another ten women or so because that's a lot more planning and food and everything else.
Anyone found a good way to condense things?
