So I having been looking at reception music lately and I think I am going to substitute some of the Glee covers in for their real songs.  I like the Bust A Move by the Glee cast way better than I like the original!  I feel like a huge dork.

Anyone else like covers better than originals and plan to use them in the wedding?

This is sacrelige, but I was tempted to use Jem's cover of Maybe I'm Amazed instead of the Paul McCartney version. It fits our venue so well!

I like almost all of the Glee songs better than the originals :x I mean, for most of them I really like the original one too, but Glee is just so amazing!

I've never watched Glee ( I know, probably one of the only women in my age bracket that hasnt!), but I'm using a lot of lesser known covers for our music choices. Some of them are just to incorporate some of the bands we really love (alternative rock, mostly), but that dont have a lot of original wedding appropriate music. A few others, I'm going with the cover just because it seems more danceable. I see no reason you cant use the Glee versions, but I might try to spread them out through the reception (so that it doesnt turn into a Glee-fest!lol)

I don't watch Glee, but I saw the Oprah episode about it today.  So you would call yourself a "Gleek" then?

I heard the Glee CD at a resort on our honeymoon and loved it!  I only put on the show for the music.  My husband thinks I'm a huge dork because of that, but I did see him on youtube the other night listening to them too.
