    If you were wearing a veil the shrug might be a bit much but without a veil, I think it will be absolutely perfect! It won’t detract from the dress, just add a little feminine lace detail to it. Go for it, you’ll look lovely 🙂

    @Audrey2:  Good plan! If the shrug ends up not working or if you feel like it’s too much, you could also add wide lace straps. I really don’t get what churches have against women’s shoulders (and I’m Catholic! lol) but that’s another way to keep your shoulders somewhat covered. It might work if your vicar isn’t too uptight.

    @Audrey2:  Hmmm you might be right about the ruching now that I go back and look I see where the ruching meets in the middle and you might be right on that. I think the one you posted is still pretty thou….I’m just more drawn to the off the shoulder one.

    I also think your dress is gorgeous as it is so unless you really want something you are rocking that dress so its not like you really need anything with it!

    Normally i am a big fan of less being more.  But since you mentioned this is partially because of your church, you could wear it for the ceremony and remove for the reception to change up your look.
