I'm not "allowed" to see anything psychological. I pick at the inaccuracies too much and R gets annoyed because he can't concentrate. Haha.

it looks really scary!  I kind of want to see it but I don't handle horror movies well.  Do you think it would cause nightmares?

Was it good?  My fiance and I are going to dinner and a movie tomorrow as a post-Valentine's Day date.  We're trying to decide between Wolfman and Shutter Island . . . Neither are getting great reviews, so I feel a little stuck!

I really liked it, but you have to be in the mood for that type of movie, I think...it's very film noir, old-school Hitchcock-feeling.

@amariem - it's not scary like a horror film, but it is kinda freaky.

I just started seeing the commercials for this. It looks scary to me. I'm only allowed to see scary movies when the bf is here because I refuse to sleep alone afterward.

I can't WAIT to see it....we just finished the book a few weeks ago. The book was great. We'll probably see it this weekend, if we do, I'll give a review here :)

We saw the Wolfman last weekend. It's fun. A good throwback to the 50's Wolfman. If you've ever seen that, you'll appreciate this one. It's not "great" but it has some funny moments, scary moments and a great Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lector moment.

Loved the movie. Definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat. The book is good too.

Personally, it looks like a good movie, but not something I would be interested in. However, I am fairly sure there is a good twist to the story, am I right?

We just went and it wasn't jump out and scare you but more of one that made you think.

Funny story I saw the commerical earlier this week and told the FI that I was going with friends to see Sutter Home.  Then when the movie title came up I started giggling. I guess I was needing a glass of wine... LOL

@LadyGoodman The reviews on IMDB are great for Shutter Island! I skimmed through earlier this week and again just now and most people love it!

We're going to see it this afternoon. Can't wait! Looks like our kind of movie. We love thrillers!

I kind of want to see it, but I klind of don't. Lately all the horror/thriller movies are the same with different names. It makes it kind of lame and I just sit there laughing.

FI won't watch them with me, like I won't watch chick flicks with him because he always tell me when is going on before it happens. lol.

Saw it this afternoon-loved it! Very unique and different...not scary for those of you worried about the "scare factor"...great psychological thriller!

we JUST got home from seeing it. I'd say about 2/3 of the way through you realized sorta what the main point of the movie was (trying not to give it away...lol)

psychological thrillers like this, though, are hard for me because while I've never been diagnosed with anything - I do have bad / weird nightmares - and so this movie sorta freaked me out...

again - without going into details that might give anything away - the fact that the movie takes place in a mental hospital - it is hard to watch something like this and think about how the human mind literally can "lose it"...and how some people who you'd think were "sane" literally lose their mind...my mother actually is dealing with a family friend right now who's son - well let's just say "lost his mind" :( and it is so very scary how someone you've always known to be "normal" then does something that ruins their lives / the lives of others...
