So we’re going to provide a shuttle from the hotel, to the wedding (and then the shuttle will pick people up at the end of the night and bring them back to the hotel) but…
How will the guests get from the airport to the hotel?
Also, when we mention the shuttle service in our invitations, should we also say something like, “but you’ll have to find your own way from the airport,”… or will people just know that they’ll have to call a cab for themselves?

@LadyMoriarty: I’m providing transport from the hotel to the wedding as well, people are on their own to get to the hotel from the airport though. Unless you know that all your guests are on the same plane, providing transportation would be a logistical nightmare!

@LadyMoriarty: I think people assume they will have to find their own way from the airport. All of your guests are adults, they’ve most likely been in a situation like this before. My only suggestion would be to look into whether or not the hotel they’re all staying at has a shuttle from the airport to the hotel. If so, definitely include that information so your guests can get a free ride.

Does your hotel offer shuttle service from the airport? I would look into that.
If not, I would just state that you will offer shuttle service from the wedding to the hotel. You don’t have to state that people will need to find their own way to the hotel from the airport, as that is really not a part of your job. Heck, you are being very generous with venue to hotel.

@Misswhowedding: Ah that’s a good question, I’ll call the hotel and find out. Thank you 🙂

We put transportation options on our wedding web site, as there were three main ones from the airport to downtown. You could put a line “Airline transportations options on our web site,” or depending on your insert cards, you could include in the invites.

People are adults, they can find their own way to the hotel from the airport. Not to mention people are going to be cmoing in at all hours of the day there’s practically no way to coordinate that, aside from finding out about an already provided hotel shuttle and informing people of it’s availability as PP’s said.
As far as your shuttle to the wedding goes, I’d pick some certain times and make sure you include what exact times it will go so that people know when to be downstairs and ready to go.

People should know they need to find their owns transport to and from the airport!

just state that shuttle transportation will be available from the hotel to ceremony/reception venue and back.
you don’t need to say you are not providing airport transfers. if people are unsure, they will ask.
