My 1st child (daughter) initials are KBJ.
When I was looking for a name for my 2nd child (daughter) I was avoiding a K name for diversity. The name that I fell in love with just happened to start with a K. So should I make a point for the middle name to start with a letter other than B so the girls won’t have the exact same initials?

I don’t think it matters at all. Just pick names that you like.

My dad and my sister have the same initials. It makes getting the mail a little confusing sometimes if companies only address letters as J. B. Last name. Apart from that it’s not an issue. I think it would be cute to have two daughters with the same initials. I would neither try to make it happen, nor try to avoid it. Just choose names you like and if they match, they match!

Initials are so rarely even looked at that it’s not a big deal. Use the name you like!

karmalkween: I actually think it’s cute. A lot of people purposefully coordinate names.
Your kids probably wont even realize it til they’re like 12 and it won’t matter.

karmalkween: In my case it would have me a fortune on monogramming. 🙂 I honestly think no on will pay attention to their initials and it’s not like you’ll be calling them their full name at all times.

My sister and I had the same initials, we actually liked the connection and didn’t think ill of it at all. In fact we actually had the same middle name.
