I'm sorry you're alone and sick on Christmas. I've been alone on Christmas before, and it stinks.
(((internet hugs))) so i don't get what you have. It sucks but you just need rest and there are some great movies on tonight. DH and I are just hangin watching some of them. Drink lots of clear liquids and hopefully you get all straight soon. You are not alone you have ... the BEE :D

@Pearberry: Completely agree with you. I am lucky that I don't have to deal with anyone toxic. Better to be alone than in bad company, and even better to have a great cat to keep me company.
I am filling the time watching a Roseanne marathon on WE TV and looking at David Yurman earrings online. Actually it's not half bad.
@inspiredcreations: I'm sorry you had a tiff with your DH. :( I hope you feel better too!
oh and ... have you tried some brandy ... it's my parents go to cure all .. if it doesn't mend you at least you don't mind being sick anymore :D
I forgot to mention that I'm sitting up alone on the Bee because DH is sick with a cold and went to bed early. He caught it from me, and I was sick last week on our first wedding anniversary.
@HisIrishPrincess: LOL! I like the way you think! Back in '06 we went with my ILs to the Florida Keys for Christmas. I came down with a nasty sinus infection and spent the first evening there in bed in my hotel room crying because I had the worst headache of my life and I couldn't sleep because of the live band in the courtyard. I wish I had figured out earlier that either my headache went away or I didn't care about it any more if I was drinking margaritas. My first stop would've been the hotel bar!
I can completely relate. I have been sick with the stomach flu and trying to decide what end of me needs to go on the toilet more. It has been a really horrible day.
@strawbabies: That is terrible. My FI offered to come over but I told him to stay away because I was afraid of giving it to him. Maybe we should stay long distance after we get married. I'm actually starting to enjoy the me time.
@mimi123: I told him not to kiss me on our anniversary to avoid him getting sick, but we live together, so he figued he was doomed to get it anyway. I wasn't sick enough to cancel dinner or our carriage ride, where we went by the St. Augustine Love Tree. And you have to kiss under the love tree!

I'm sick this Christmas too so I kind kind of relate. I'm with my parents so I'm not totally alone, but my FI can't afford to get sick so I won't see him today or Friday which is my birthday :o(
I'll join the alone on Christmas club. My DH is working all day then driving to his family's 4 hours away tonight, while my fam lives across the country. I'm staying here because I have work tomorrow at 6am so it isn't worth it for me to go too. To add to my misery I just had a miscarriage and our spare room is full of baby themed Christmas gifts (I would have been 11.5 weeks today, we planned to announce to our families tonight) we can no longer give sooo no one even got presents.
I'm surviving on tears, wine, and cheesy Hallmark Channel Christmas movies. Hopefully next year we're all with loved ones!

Big hug to you and merry xmas to you and all the bees. I too am alone for xmas my FI is in Afghainstan and I havent heard from him in weeks. So I can sympathize with you feeling alone.
The blessing to all this is you and your FI are together it is the most important and beautiful thing.
@mimi123: :( make yourself a comfy spot in bed or on the sofa, lights some candles, turn down the lights, and turn on a chick flick or read an old book. Try to relax and just focus on getting better.

@mimi123: Christmas kinda blew; following the tiff with DH, I came down with a case of food poisoning and spent the wee hours of Christmas morning revisiting my dinner. Tack onto that a full day with irritable family members and a whiny child... let's just say it wasn't my favorite Christmas ever. But, after the day was over, DH and I had a long talk and made up, so at least it ended on a good note.
Yay for wedding jewelry! Let's see it :)

Hey Bees...Happy Holidays to all of you. Just feeling sad because I caught some kind of upper respiratory bug a few days ago...not serious, but I am too sick to travel. FI and I are long distance as is his family where we were invited. So I am spending Christmas by myself and am just kinda sad about it. I have lots of empathy for anyone who feels lonely on the holidays.
