Try Oil of Oregano drops and Emergen-C, they should kick your cold in a day or two.

Oil of Oregano, a couple drops, hold it under your tongue for as long as you can stand it.

salejolie:  Echinecea tincture- I swear by that nasty tasting stuff! They should have it any natural food store/co-op/herbal store. It’s the echinecea flower root and while it doens’t cure you, it does boost your immune system, similar to emergen-c, so you can fight off your illness quickily. Usually I take 2-3 dropper fulls in a shot glass of water (2-4 times a day), and wash it down with milk because it tastes horrible….

salejolie:  Boo I’m sooo sorry!!!  I have a concert I need to sing in tomorrow and my sinuses are SO CONGESTED, I haven’t slept in 3 days.  I can’t imagine if it was before my wedding.  The good news is, you’ll be running of so much adrenalin that day, if you’re not 100% you should still be able to enjoy your day!!  Sending virtual healing powers!!

salejolie:  ZINC. My FI is a chiropractic student. Vitamin C is for preventing colds, zinc is for curing them. He told me. Of course, always consult your doctor first.

Sambucol (elderberry extract) has been shown to reduce the duration of flu/cold symptoms. Make sure to get rest and stay hydrated!

Adrenalin will do wonders for you on the day- I had a cold the week before my wedding and I took some DayQuil the morning of (I didn’t want to take anything too late in the day so I could enjoy some wine at the wedding), and the barely noticed anything for the rest of the day.  I resumed being sick the next day, lol.

But definitely stock up on the zinc, and I also like this homeopathic remedy called Umcka.  I can find it at most grocery stores.  Otherwise, just lots of tea, rest, and healthy foods!

salejolie:  Eucalyptus oil on the bottom of your feet for coughing. DH gets a terrible cough every year, and we put that on his feet, rub it in, put on socks, and he can get some sleep at night without hacking up a lung in the bathroom.

I got the stumach flu every other week for two months before my wedding. It sucked. Hard core. My dress fit perfectly at my last fitting 2 weeks before the wedding, but was so loose on my wedding day from all the puking. 🙁 I hope you feel better soon. Just focus on your wedding a soon to be husband. 🙂
