@thumpurr:  oh gosh, hugs sweetie!  Breathe, it will be okay, I promise! If you’re overwhelmed, try taking a break from it all and come back later!

@thumpurr:  I bet! There’s nothing like a wedding for some good ole sticker shock! 😛 Glad to hear you’re feeling better!

I hear ya!  I’m 4 months out and ready to be DONE.  The process itself is very overwhelming because there is just always something to think about, sort out, schedule, pay off, etc., and the ever-increasing debt is certainly scary.  After a certain amount of time, though, FI and I have just come to terms with the fact that we’re going to have some debt after the wedding and there’s really no avoiding it unless we’re going to elope or get married at a court house and it’s too late for that now!  After awhile too, dropping $1000 doesn’t have the same gut-wrenching impact it used to – Not sure if that’s a good thing, haha.  Plus, don’t forget about the money you get at the wedding.  That is meant to help you pay off all of the vendor balances.

And no matter who you commit to vendor-wise, there will always be another vendor or another option that you didn’t consider, so don’t drive yourself nuts over that, just like you shouldn’t drive yourself nuts over other people’s negative opinions.  Things will get easier the closer you get to the wedding, I promise!
