Weddingbee boards

Originally I wanted my hair in a low messy bun with a flower. I decided to do my own hair, though, and so went with a wavy side ponytail (I did it for prom on year and loved how it looked on me), still with the flower. My friend is doing my hair now, still in the side ponytail, but I'm wondering if that will work with my veil. It's a mantilla style veil (I'll try to attach pictures) with the lace on the edges, though it has a comb so I'm thinking it could still be worn lower on my head (like right above the top of the ponytail). What do you think? Has anyone seen something like this done? Do you have pictures?

I could just go without the veil and it would probably look better (I'm definitely taking it off for the reception), but it's my mom's veil so I really want to be able to wear it.

The first picture is of my veil. Please excuse the fact that I'm awkwardly holding up my dress in the picture :-P. This was pre-alterations. But you can get an idea of what the veil looks like and the length of it and everything.

The second picture is of the hairstyle on my when I wore it for prom three years ago.

The third picture is one of the photos I found that makes me think that maybe this hairstyle might still work with the veil?

Here are a few pictures of a quick hair experiment to give you an idea of what I'm thinking of doing. My hair is naturally wavy, so this only took about two minutes to do, but it'll be more curled for the actual wedding.
