I rather like the diamond shape or kite setting of princess cut stones. I don’t think that it changes the look of the size of your stone! I think your ring is gorgeous the way it is though, but I’m sure if you decide to change it, it will look beautiful.

I remember reading somewhere that when a stone is kite set it makes it appear larger. Especially a princess cut since stones are measured LxW and not horizontal, The horizontal  measurements Of A princess cut is actually larger than a round diamond of the same carat weight. Setting it in a kite setting will accentuate it’s horizontal measurements. I hope that at least made a little sense?

My friend had a ‘diamond’ shaped princess and I love it. Particularly as she has two matching bands either side of her ering which balances it out. I like how it’s not an odd shaped diamond yet looks unique.

Yes, it will make it appear larger due to the Pythagorean Theorem. 

This is my 1ct princess and I have compared it to 1ct rounds and my princess seems larger

I’m thinking of having my asscher kite-set one day. I like that look a lot.
