Oh man, mine grew by the day until the actual wedding, and then I actually had to add things to it afterwards (get the dress cleaned, thank you notes, buy postage for thank you notes, pay remaining bills, return things to people, etc). It never seems to end! But I’m just like you – hyper organized! I used Google docs so I could keep a running list that I could access from anywhere!

@ studentbride – you may be better served making a list of things you DON’T want.. that could help!  I put together a word doc with pictures and captions as to why i liked this or that picture, and made sure to emphasize photos I didn’t want (the creepy hanging dress photo that looks like a crime scene, the lined up pictures with people subbed in and out, etc).  Your photographer might already have a pre-made list that you could look at and add/subtract from, also.

Good luck!  I felt self conscious sending my silly document to my photographer, but turns out he’s been using it as a guide for other brides.  Who knew?  It’s a little embarrassing, but at least we’re on the same page.

Lol, men just don’t get it. Mine can’t figure out why I now want to sit down with all of my binders and put them in order and list everything we bought and how much we spent. He figures it’s over, I should just throw it all away!!

Google docs is great, because god forbid if anything happens to your computer (my work laptop was stolen when someone broke into our office – and it had most of my wedding planning ideas/lists on it AND our guest list with addresses – yikes!!), then you still have it saved somewhere safe. I learned my lesson the hard way!!

I really want a photo of Bride & Groom on opposite sides of the church door, holding hands but they can’t see each other.  I’ve seen it done and I think it’s adorable!
