You know what would be super cute? DVF jersey-silk dresses in that pretty bright yellow that she loves. I bought one in a different color on Ebay for $30, and they're so flattering for all body types. My one gripe is that I bought a 4, because usually designers run small, but it was huge on me... so now I have to re-sell it. Boo.
I know Ebay's not ideal for BM dresses, but DVF is so cute it might be worth it.
Also, I'm all for the fun, flirty look. I think that as long as your wedding isn't in a marble ballroom at night or something it would look great.
Nordstrom carries DVF, too, I think, so they could always try the dresses on and see what's out there.
Oh i have one at home but it won't help you! It's the silk banana republic orchid dress with the most gorgeous watercolor print florals coming down the front and it's a very soft buttery yellow.
What about this? If you had a ton of money that is, lol: http://www.saksfifthavenue.com/main/ProductDetail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524446246407&site_refer=AFF001&site_refer=AFF001&siteID=J84DHJLQkR4-EioLiQgDnL9jrO_TNETdjg But it's a start, look-wise. Gorgeous
@lily - what is DVF?
@ejs - woah! I love it! however, my size 16 MOH isn't comfortable wearing anything cut above the knees. :( I'm cool with them in long or knee length dresses, but it really cuts down on the options!
Siri has silk dresses like this on sale for February. They're gorgeous.
Lol that dress is also $500
haha. It's pretty though. I saved it to see if i can make a pattern with it later! I love the soft watercolor color.
*love*

*pout* I wish I felt comfortable asking my girls to pay $230 (on sale, gees!) for dresses!
These print dresses are still HUGE for prom so I think a prom dress may be a gopod choice. This one is $179?

She has lots of other super cute yellow print dresses that were popping up all over the place when I bought mine, but for the life of me I can't find them right now. *sigh* oh well, maybe they're too old now?

That's pretty and totally random, LOL
Kinda yellowy: http://www.newyorkdress.com/Dave_and_Johnny/5609.html $184
I don't think there's anything too informal about that first one, but... let's look!
Wow, these are harder to find than I thought! What about having some made? That might be a little easier...
I'm doing floral too!
I went with Jcrew and they have some beautiful ones!
You can wait when they have their 20% off promo codes every month and get them!
--even though it is cotton, J crew is high quality and will look great in pictures.
Ooooo that floral one laboroflove posted is GORGEOUS.
But damn, why is all the pretty stuff so expensive?!
@daydreamwanderer, I think you could totally have something made in a simple cut with a nice fabric. Maybe somebody will make them for like $150 on Etsy?
I know my mom made our bridesmaid dresses with nice material (from the bridal area) and they cost $25. The extra material would probably take it to like $40. But if you didn't use fabric that was $10/yard, it should be too bad. Ours didn't even have zippers. The girls just pulled them over their heads and you could get a nice cord or sash or ribbon type thing to belt it. My MOH was a size 16 and she likes belted styles a lot with flouncier fabrics.
I will just randomly post what I find.

This one's from JC Penney

Wow, some of these are GORGEOUS! My friend's getting married in July & her colors are yellow & gray - I just sent her all these links.
@labor of love - WOAH!!! Lovelovelove that dress!
@ejs - I know, right? they're all either ridiculously expensive or else look cheap/informal! urgh...
This is cute too.... too bad it doesn't come in the right sizes! It'd be perfect otherwise (and $58!? dang!)

I love the yellow and grey maxi dress at the top! So perfect for a resort too.
Yep, that's the Siri dress I love. My mom loved it too! I would totally wear that to any other event I could find so at least your bridesmaids would get more use out of it. To me, that's better than a $100 dress I'll never wear again. It's hand-painted silk, which explains the cost. I'd at least throw it out there as an option, though the timeline is short for the promotion :(
What about these from Alfred Angelo? They're super cute in person and come in a yellow print!
@winnja those dresses are awesome!!!!!
Ahhhh I'm loving the prints too!!!
DVF makes adorable dresses, but I CANNOT wear wrap dresses to save my life! Don't know why, but they definintely don't work for everyone. I feel so weird looking in them!
Absolutely adore this one, but it seems to only go to a dead link :( (21globalshop.com).

Found it on a google search that lead to shopwiki that lead to...well, we know that one. But I'm sure a style like this would look great on your Plus 16 girl.
I'm bored so here are some I found:

These are all amazing dress choices ladies! I love the casual look of informal dresses!!!
I'm in love with this dress, but it may not be what you're looking for (and I just say that Watters has said that the Bridesmaid line "Starts at $225-- yikes!). Not a print, but lovely!

I'm doing light yellow, and we got ones form Davids Bridal (shocker!)...but unfortunatley they don't have a print...BUT what makes them SUPER awesome, is that they are gorgeous stretch cotton! Hello comfortable! They look really nice, but are still laid back with a vintage party dress vice (that I personally love).
Here it is:

PS. I also LOVE Siri dresses, but they were unfortunately out of our price range :(
I LOVE the one that laboroflove posted. I also don't think the first one in your OP is that informal.

Our wedding is looking to be semi formal. We're hoping to put the guys in dark gray suits (gotta find a place to rents them...), and I'm probably going to do light yellow dresses for the girls.
I really want them to all match or at least be the same fabric and the same shade of yellow. This is important to me. I don't care if they're the same cut of the dress, but the same fabric would be nice.
I LOVE print dresses for bridesmaids. Like, love love it. But all the print dresses I can find are cotton or linen or other thin, spring-y, informal fabrics. We're getting married in October, my dress is one big silk taffeta hot mess (it's shiny in pictures...) and ... I just wish I could find pale yellow print dresses that are more formal! And that come in a nice wide range of sizes (at least 6 - 16, if I'm estimating my girls right).
Anyone know of a dress like that? Maybe I should resort to etsy.
A few I've loved:
