I don't know what I'll be using, but this is what I have so far: "sweet treats for the ride home" or "how sweet it is...."
We are also having a candy buffet, our logo if you will is Love is Sweet. Short and to the point. We also are having a Sweet Shoppe sign attached to the table. Where are you getting most of your candy. I am having trouble finding deals?
Not sure if there's enough room, but I like 'thanks for making life so sweet'
Because love is sweet, please indulge in these great treats.
or
...join us for a treat
...please help yourself to some candy
...ENJOY!
By the time your guests see the candy, they're not going to care what it says. =) We're having a candy buffet, have some cute decorations and have something along the line.."For your sweet tooth. Please Enjoy" I'm not too big on advertising the word "love" all over the place, its just not my thing.
I plan on getting candy at BJ's or Costco. They have a really large selection.
Love is sweet so help us enjoy the sweetness of this day!
Grab a bag and fill it up with your favorite goodies.
well that's what ours says anyway
Thanks for all the suggestions gals!!
MissPolkaDotPrincess: Unless I find a better deal elsewhere, I'm planning on buying from this site....

For some of the chocolates, I plan on going to Costco. Its a little difficult going anywhere else because I want my candy to match my wedding colors (lilac and brown)
We had a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory quote, which we totally ripped from knottie JenniferT08 =P
I don't have a picture of mine yet, but you can find hers here:

We had pewter letters on the table that said "Love Sweet Love" but our sign said "Please help yourself to some delicious treats, and don't forget that love is sweet!"
P.S. Anyone using pink and green is welcome to my sign. I can send pics!
Now I'm curious because our colors are lilac and brown... what's matchy-matchy at Costco!?!
We did a big sign over it all. Link to photo: http://bp0.blogger.com/_3t1XI0WpcEE/R9gU5RLd4oI/AAAAAAAAA7M/3AL_VSC8p2w/s1600-h/_W5W8089.jpg It was SUPER easy to make. Directions are found here: http://tinyurl.com/6kgqxs
I think I might even have the banner flags (on my computer) still so if anyone needs them, PM me and I'll send them along. Enjoy!
We just had little labels on our bags b/c I totally didn't get to finish all the signage before the wedding- note to you ladies- get it done months in advance!!!
Our bags said:
Michael & Michelle
Love is sweet,
Enjoy a treat.
Thank you for sharing in our day!
UPDATE ON THE CANDY BUFFET
So I purchased everything I needed for my candy buffet....jars, takeout boxes, candy and chocolate. I've decided, however, not to do a candy buffet anymore. Ever since I let it slip that I'm going to have a candy buffet, people have been giving me flack about it. Those who have kids have been telling me that its a horrible idea and that the kids will ruin their clothes and will be super-hyper all night. After a couple of months of nagging, I couldn't take it anymore. They finally broke me down!
Because I'm sick of everyone telling me what a horrible idea it is, I've decided to just forget about it. I had actually glued ribbons and labels on my takeout box. But now that I'm not doing the candy buffet anymore, I've been half-assing it....as in my ribbons and tags are all crooked and I don't even care. I just want it done now.
Anyhow, enough rambling. I've decided to just put the candy in the takeout boxes and hand them out to the kids (and anyone else who wants candy) at the end of the reception.
Time is running out and I'm just sick and tired of the constant nagging! Ugh. I hope everyone else has better luck w/ their candy buffets.
ATaleofTwoCities: I got my takeout boxes at
http://www.papermart.com/templates/81-0-05.htm#GO_81005
There are lots of different kinds. I got the plain white ones because I wanted to put a tag and ribbon on each one. I received the orders pretty fast. The only thing was a few of them were crushed. But overall it was fast and the boxes were way cheaper than other sites.
I recommend www.4yoursweetooth.com for all your bulk candy needs. Contact them directly with your wedding colors and they can take care of all the recommendations on types of candy and quantity. Plus they have the BEST prices!
We are actually doing using the following:All you need is love, Love SWEET Love. So please induldge yourself in a Sweet Treat.
Hope that is helpful.
I am doing one and putting "Sweet Dreams", because they are getting the candy as they leave the Wedding...

Hi All, I plan to have a candy buffet at my wedding. I have a good idea of what kind of candy I will be buying. What I am stuck on is the signage. I plan to have a small sign on the table w/ a little saying. So far, I've only come up w/ " Because love is sweet....." Does anyone have any ideas? For those of you who had candy buffets at your wedding, what did you write (that is if you don't mind sharing =) )?
Any ideas would be appreciated! =) Thanks in advance!
