    Hi Bee's!

I am thinking of haveing two signature cocktails at my reception and was curious is anyone is doing this?  What are some simple recipies and cute names for some wedding drinks?

Right, so, right now I'm hooked on this completely insane idea for my signature to be a lemonade shake up cart, like from the fair.  Except with gin or vodka added.

FI's will probably be a gin & tonic, his favorite.

I'm not really into cutesy names for cocktails so we'll probably stick with "His" and "Hers" or maybe "Mister" and "Missus".

I was going to do this for my cocktail hour... until I realized it was $ 7.50 a drink and could only be done on consumption. I just gave them an open bar :) It was cheaper.

We are doing signature cocktail's during our cocktail hour only and having caesars (it's a Canadian drink - like a bloody mary but with clam juice!) We will probably just have "His" and "Hers" and his will be extra spicy and then hers will be more mild, just the way we actually like them :)

I wanted to do a Mojito (FI and I's fav drink for the summer)... but my planner made a good point that crushing up the mint to acctually make a good drink would take far too long during cocktail hour with a large line for drinks :( now I need a new idea

We are doing 2 signature drinks. We are suppose to meet with the Mixologist a month or so before our wedding to figure out some cool drinks and names.

I personally love a Raspberry Lemon Drop Martini with a sugar rim so I am considering calling mines "Blushing Bride" or "Sugar and Spice". My FI loves a Long Island Ice Tea maybe the "Honeymoon helper" or "Honeymoon starter. We are also having Miller beer on tap because our new last name will be Miller, so "Miller Time" like the beer.

I am considering this but it is more expensive than the normal cocktails so I'm not sure if it's worth it to go this route...

We were able to bring our own liquor and mixers to our venue. Our signature cocktail was entitled "Eternitini". I actually got that idea on Weddingbee (not sure who though, sorry!). Our colors were dark purple and gray so our drink consisted of grape juice, sprite, and vodka.

    It was a hit!

me! I'm choosing one and my FI is choosing one. They're just going to be one of our favorite drinks, so we haven't finalized what drinks they'll be. I love the idea and am going to make a cute little sign for them to encourage people to try them!

I'm hoping to do one, since we are bringing our own drinks in...I was thinking something Vegas themed, since that is where we met...any ideas?

We had signiture cocktails but they weren't anything special.  Just the drink that the bride and groom recommends.

I recommended a "Blushin' Russian Bride" which was a vodka, cran and splash of sprite.  DH recommended a "Friskey Whiskey Groom" which was a whiskey sour.

We had cute signs printed on the bars.

Since our colors are Tiffany blue and chocolate brown, I am going to do Hypnotiq shots in chocolate shot glasses and call them something cutesy like Hypnotized or something.

We are having both white and red sangria as our signature cocktails. We are getting married in wine country so we liked this better than a hard liquor cocktail.White will be the bride's drink and red the groom's since that is our preferred wine type. Good news for the budget is that they will make gallons of it ahead of time and it is much less expensive than individual drinks!

Cornflower: we were planning on doing this too! But now I am concerned that people might not like it. We are doing beer and wine and non-alc drinks too, but I was planning on having a red and a white sangria as the "special" drink. A lot of people like sangria right?

@jjah89:  I think a lot of people like it, it's fruiter/sweeter than just wine, and with ice on a warm day, I think it will be refreshing.  And not as strong as something just with hard liquor.
