we are not having an unlimited selection of choices at our backyard reception, just signature cocktails. i was thinking about having them in flights, ie different offerings at different points of the evening.
cocktail hour-pimms cup, strawberry basil lemonade, n/a sweet tea, mint juleps
supper-all the above plus wine
dessert-champagne cocktails, port, coffee
what do people think of that?

I think that sounds great! Hopefully, you’ll have a bartender so that you don’t have to pay attention to the timing 🙂

That sounds like a great plan. I’m going to try strawberry basil lemonade post haste! Sounds delicious! The staggering should work fine.

thanks ladies! we will definitely have a bartender. we’ll have signs up at the bar for the first 3 cocktails, followed by wine on th dinner menu, then champagne cocktails and port on the dessert menu.

I think it sounds like a great idea. Just make sure that the bartender removes all signs of the other drinks after dinner, so nobody gets confused.
