What are your colors? Ours were brown and blue so we had a chocolate martini and a blue curaco margarita :)

I am a huge fan of limoncello for summer. My favorite restaurant in town makes a great Cello-Tini with is limoncello, vodka and homemade lemonade. It's so yummy!

I was thinking a lemon drop for those that like fruity drinks and then something less froofy like a martini as well. Limoncello is an interesting spin on the idea.

I'm thinking of doing a Pear Martini and calling it the Perfect Pear..... cheesy and overdone, but people still love it :)
We'll probably do a Cello-tini and a dirty Gin Martini. Those are "our" drinks.
We had a rum/fruit drink, a gin rickey, and a ginger martini. The martini was the most popular by far - we called it "The Green Freedom of a Cockatoo," after the poem Sunday Morning by Wallace Stevens.
I made all the ginger syrup (about a gallon) two weeks before the wedding. Here's the recipe I used. Note: once I made the syrup, I diluted with water by about 30%:

Have you checked Martha Stewart website, or even her current edition of Martha Stwear wedding? I've seen some great signature drinks at the end of them for the summer editions.

I am getting married in upstate NY on August 16th. We are providing beer, wine and soda for the whole reception. And have also decided to do a signature drink, but I can't decide what to do. I want somthing summery and not to hard...anyone have a suggestion and/or a recipe for us. Thanks in advance for any help.
