We are opting for a beer, wine (white and red) and signature drink wedding. Actually, I think we may do two signature drinks - one with a pun on his name and one for me!

I want something girly and fruity (but not too icky sweet that guests will think it's a melted lollipop), and he's more of a jack and coke kind of guy...

I'd love ideas for two drinks that may work!

Hmmm, how about something like vodka, peach schnapps and pineapple juice, mixed with a bit of champagne?  I used to make those when I bartended in college and they were soooo good.  I'm not sure what you can do to make a signature drink out of a dark liquor like jack though.

We had gin and tonics (his favorite) but another popular drink (amongst our friends anyways) is a Crum Bubbly. It's gin, sprite, and country time lemonade mix. So simple, yet strangely, very good with gin! For our wedding we had two signature cocktails. Our blue one was sprite, vodka, and blueberry passion schnapps. The other was a peach raspberry martini and it was peach schnapps, black raspberry schnapps, peach nectar juice, and vodka. It was SUPER popular amongst all the women and wasn't too sweet. I guess the peach and raspberry balance each other out.

i've had jack, cranberry, and cola (it was an all natural kind made with evaporated cane juice, can't stand the regular stuff but as most people like it, i'm sure it'd work fine if you were to do this), and it was pretty tasty. not very inventive, but a twist on an old favorite, and good.

you ladies have some fresh ideas - - i was going to go with the classic mojito, just have it made w/ blueberry vodka instead of gin.....that Crum Bubbly sounds divine Wink

I love all the schnapps- and champagne-based ideas! Anyone else? We're still looking for something in our color (wine/burgundy) and/or something meaningful to us. So far my only idea for the latter would be a drink with Woodford Reserve Bourbon, which had at least a bit to do with how we met.

@Laboroflove Mmm, so do I! I made some for FI's birthday dinner last September and they were lovely. Would a cranberry/raspberry bellini have cranberries and raspberries instead of the peach puree, or in addition to it?

Went to a wedding in September and the girl (Chelsea) had the "Chelsito" (which was just a mojito with a cute name) and her husband (Jarrod) had the "J-rock and coke" (Jack and Coke) I was thinking of doing something with Firefly sweet tea vodka because i LOVE it and maybe calling it "Shes a sweetie" and then you could do a twist on a whiskey sour for the guy or something??

@ clarebee  Exactly! I'm thinking I definitely want to do a play on our names. My initials are AS and his are BV. Mine may be easy, like a "sweet s....". Still working on his...

If you are trying to stay in your color scheme you could do a strawberry margarita it is almost a wine color.

This week we went to TGIF and I saw the cutest drink idea. I think I"m stealing for our wedding.  It was a pink cosmo martini but the cute part is they put a small clump of pink cotton candy in the martini glass and then give you the liquid mix in a shaker to pour over the cotton candy.  It made for a fun presentation!
