We are having our wedding at a vineyard where we can bring our own alcohol/drinks, with the exception of wine. We are going to have the choices of a couple different beers and some liquor options with mixers and non-alcoholic soft drinks… but we want to have two signature drinks. We bought 2 glass drink dispensers and i’d love to have two signature drinks that people can essential “self serve.” We will make very large batches ourselves to give to the bartenders to refill.
We are having approx. 150 people.
Any thoughts (&/or recipes) for a great signature drink? Not that it has to be “fall” themed but our wedding is next October. It’s more laid back/rustic and we are serving BBQ. Has anyone had the experience of “making their own” drinks in extremely large batches? Thoughts/suggestions?

Get your MOH, a bunch of small bottles of booze you like and common mixers, and start testing stuff out! Haha, that’s what me and my MOH plan on doing, and we plan on having a grand old Saturday night doing it! Though I do have a “starting point” so to speak…I want there to be gin in it (my favorite) and I want it to end up purple (the primary wedding color). FH’s choice for a signature drink is scotch on the rocks, lol, because that’s his favorite!

Here’s a link to Autumn Cocktails. I think apple and cranberry drinks sound good to me.

Boozy Arnie Palmers are my favorite, and I think it goes well with BBQ, even though it’s more of a summer drink.
It’s basically just a 1:1 mixture with a Sweet Tea Vodka (Jeremiah Weed, or Firefly both work well) and lemonade. You could even throw some lemons in there and it would look cute with your clear containers.
SRSLY. How cute is this dispenser…

The apple/cranberry drink sounds really good to me too. I know a lot of my mom’s friends really like warm alcoholic apple ciderish drinks.

You probably can’t bring this since it’s wine or won’t want to but big containers look great with sangria in it with all different kinds of fruits like apples and grapes in it.

We’re having a fall themed wedding next October and we are planning on serving carmel appletinis as our signature drink during the cocktail hour. They’re very easy to make:
2 oz vodka
1 oz sour apple schnapps
1 oz butterscotch schnapps

I second the Arnold palmers with a little liqour. Ice tea and lemonade together is one of the best things even invented. Add a little vodka….crap, now I’m thirsty.

We are also having a fall wedding – We are having a Pumpkin Martini as our signature — it has chai liquor in it and is delicious — google it! ours has a little dot of whip cream on top and a peice of a ginger snap…. it is basically like a chocolate martini where you only want to have one since they are so rich!
We are also having hot mulled apple cider — which would be easy to make alcoholic!

What about a Washington Apple? I think it has crown royal, cranberry and maybe apple pucker?
