Yay I looooove cocktails!
We had gin & tonics, black raspberry peach martinis, and blueberry fizzes =]
tasty - yeah, keeping the guest cool in the faux Miami fall was important, so had to go with the refreshing stuff. All those sound great!
Yellow is one of our big colors, and our date is in August, so I want to do a really simple vodka and lemonade.
I think we will do Amaretto Sours, fits our color scheme and we both love them! (and so does most of my family.
Peach schnapps, pink grapefruit juice and a splash of Armaretto - I make this for myself at home, yummy! :) My groom picked peach iced tea and peach schnapps as his. Anyone have clever names we can put on these? :)
We're doing a His and Hers!
Hers: Lemonade Vodka (maybe witha splash of grenadine or strawberry something?) hey hoosierbee! great summer choice ;)
His: Good question! glad to hear my FI isn't the only one who slow to give me his drink request... Since its July, I suggest the Billionaires Maragarita (tequilla, lime and splash of sour mix, on the rocks)
All of these drinks sound so great - especially the sangria, yummm
We served cojitos and soco n cokes. I love me a cojito and DH loves his soco, so it was the perfect choice for us. We didn't worry about colors or matching or anything, we just wanted drinks that expressed our personalities and that our guests could enjoy! (We named them something different so our guests could laugh at ordering the Knottie Buoy and the Surly Mermaid!)
Wow, you're right. I just looked it up and that is called an ice pick. Hm...I might have to give it a new name for the wedding though. "Ice pick" just isn't the tone I want to set. Ha.

Choosing mine! Vote here...open to ideas. Love the his and hers, is that common? I was only going to have 1 since I'm doing a DIY bar...
The caterer for some reason just picked peach spritzers and mint juleps out of nowhere - I guess because it's all southern food. But I don't like either of those, so we switched to Vodka spiked Lemonade and Mojitos which are not southern, but are delicious regardless.

I knew my signature drink a long time ago, especially that it would have star fruit as the garnish - Guava-tini of course.
FH choose a Manhatten, since he's a bourdon guy from Texas ( not that it's from Texas but its a guyish martini, so it worked) Took him forever to decide - men I tell you.
Anyways, what's your signature drink?
Im printing out two menus for the inside and outdoor bar and they are being served on trays as guest arrive to the cocktail hour along with the full bar choices.
