i have seen people use everything even gel pens. i'd say permanent and acid free are your best bet :)
1. make sure it's acid free
2. make sure its archival so it wont fade over time
3. I'm pretty sure they carry them at Michael's Crafts in the scrapbook area
As long as it's acid free and archival quality, you should be good to go. Any crafts store should sell acid free archival pens/markers in a variety of colors.
All the permanent/acid free/archival quality pens I found were SOO ugly! So I jazzed mine up by wrapping them in ribbon and topping them with a giant feather (also so that no one would accidentally walk off with it) :) They were beautiful and I got so many compliments on them.

My mom bought me this signature frame for our guestbook but it didn't come with a pen or have instructions on what type of pen to use. Would just any permanent waterproof, acid-free pen work? Anyone have an experience with a signature frame? What kind of pen did you use?
Thanks for your advice,
Sarah
