My FI’s last name has an x in it and it always throws me off when I try to sign it. My last name has a much nicer flow to it. At least I have a while to practice still!

I am going to keep my name – I’ve been doing that signature for decades.

I have, however, practiced writing our kid-to-be (hopefully-one-day)’s name…one for a girl and one for a boy.

This is something I never thought of until I was in line getting my new DL.  So I grabbed a piece of paper out of my purse and “practiced” my signature so it didn’t look bad on my new DL.

I have to sign my lab notebook a million times a day (i’m a scientist – it’s an industry lab notebook) so that got me up to speed really fast on my signature. I still forget to tell people my new name sometimes, though. I hyphenated, so sometimes I accidentally leave off his name. Oops!
