I was just noticing this the other day. Threads are much less active on this site than on the old one. It takes away from why weddingbee was always so fun in my opinion.

I definitely have not been as active since the new layout because of what I just said.

blushbliss:  There are so many similar posts. The weekly updates don’t really tell us anything except “we’re working on it”.

It’s really hard to understand how so called professionals could roll out the new site with so many issues.

Yeah… I noticed it was not so interesting. I  really do miss the old bee. It is more than just getting used to this – I really still dislike it.

I love the bee! I’m praying all issues will get resolved soon as many of my favorite bees have left and the waiting list is on hold because of this issue! I’m getting engaged in the next 3 months, who will help me plan if all the bees are gone??

Has anyone else. Optics the general level of snark going up in here, as well? It’s like a ton of the nice, polite, sweet bees threw their hands up in the air and said,  ‘I can’t deal with this!’ Leaving all the bees with axes to grind And all the rest of us, too.

Did they inform anyone they were doing a completely site overhaul?

If this was just someone’s blog, obviously that would have been unnecessary… but on most message boards/websites that are functions, they give you a heads-up and at least say “We’re going to be redesigning the site,” and then most of the time, they’ll even go ahead and ask, “what’s something you’d like to see on the new site?”

But WB just went ahead and flipped this upside down and THEN asked for critiques. Bad website planning. I definitely don’t use it as much… it’s not terribly awful, but it’s annoying enough to where I don’t enjoy spending time browsing anymore. I used to go back 4-5 pages on boards… now I just look at the first page, and then move onto another site all together.

blushbliss:  Sadly I don’t use the bee near as much anymore. Before the change I used to spend from the time I got home to the time I went to bed on here. Now I only come on once every 3 or 4 days – mainly to see if it has gone back to being user friendly. I really miss the bee and all the lovely people I met. 🙁

I definitely miss all of the activity here.

Unfortunatley, considering how much time was spent on the new Bee, I highly doubt that all of our complaining will do much of anything.

Wouldn’t it be nice if we all woke up tomorrow and the old green bee was back?!

I think its  because you cant see as many thread topics at a time. So just a handful stay up while the majority die. There used to be 30ish topics you could read and pic from with out any scrolling!

I can live with the hiccups because, at the end of the day, it’s a free website. If I had to pay for the access, I’d feel differently. But right now, eh. I visit the site just as much as I used to before the new rollout.

The same. I have been coming on here a bit less since getting my ring. I don’t really need any wedding planning help since we’ve had a rough draft for a while and it will be small.

I don’t think there’s more snark on the site. Just more bees willing to be open and honest, and more bees who don’t want to hear the opinions of others and just want to be validated.

Activity has definitely declined though, a lot of bees stopped posting or simply deactivated after the site changed. Not that I blame them. I’ve considered doing the same several times, but I would miss the ring boards too much lol.
