My FI asked me if I am going to change my signature after we get married.  I have already decided that I am changing my name and the other day I started to practice a new signature....  It is REALLY hard.  My signature is just such a part of me where I don't even think about it and it is the same every time.

I have been practicing with my new signature when I am watching TV.  Anyone else been practicing???

Married Bee's- What did you do?  Was it an easy change?

whenever FI and I go out to eat and he pays with his card, he has me sign his name. I never realized until now how great of practice that was!

I practiced but I still had a brief pause when I signed my name for a couple months after the wedding because I still wasnt used to it!!

I always write the wrong name... I have no clue when I will finally remember to write my married name.

SO it is hard.  You know you never think about these things until you have to do it.  I was surprised the FI even thought about it.

my signature is just the first letter and then a scribble. so i just had to change the first letter. i still have to think before i sign, and i'll forget sometimes but i don't think it matters much b/c you can barely read it anyway.

I randomly realized that as we were driving on our way to our honeymoon that I had to change my signature. It wasn't too hard for me to change it. But it took a few hours to figure out a signature that I liked. Sometimes I feel really dumb when I'm signing something & I pause & said "wait..." & the people have no idea that I just changed my name so they don't know why I can't sign anything. But it gets easier with time & more practice. The hardest part for me is for business accounts, accidentally saying my maiden name & then I look all confused & say wait, actually its married name & I feel odd.
