Ok September ladies…tell me about how your stress is manifesting itself. On Sunday, I developed an attractive facial spasm that lasted pretty much all day. Anyone else…
Crying over nothing? (I cried over the trash not being taken out yesterday. I am a 36 year old woman, for crying out loud.)
Getting mad at workmates over random stuff?
Obsessing over the weather, as if we can control it?
Please tell me it’s not just me…

My right eye has been twitching for about 2 days. You’re not alone 🙂

@BeetleGrl215: lol..My wedding is 25 days out…and every morning I check weather.com and accuweather. I am sure as we get closer to the wedding I will check it 5 times a day.

One word: Migraines. As in getting a debilitating migraine at least once a week and sometimes more since my bridal shower in June.

Crying uncontrolably for no reason, no sleep due to nightmares/overthinking. I’m pretty happy that’s all that’s been happening so far!

I haven’t been able to sleep. Ugh.

I tend to internalize my stress so it comes out in physical symptoms. Last week my skin broke out and I got canker sores all over my mouth. Thankfully they are pretty much gone.
This comes from the girl who’s given herself ulcers 3 out of the last 4 years (not over wedding planning, but from work)

I picked 2 or 3 fights with my FI today. That is how I know I am super stressed. We never fight, except when we are stressed. It is going to be a LONG semester.

You’re all right on schedule. Soon you won’t sleep. Which is really fantastic for the skin. *grumble grumble*
@missbumblebee: OMG, I got a new canker sore every two weeks or so leading up to the wedding. Such BS.
I WISH YOU ALL WELLNESS AND SLEEP! 🙂

Not sleeping and having nightmares. Like the one I had where my photog didn’t show up and no one told me and I didn’t notice til the day was over. When I woke up I emailed him right away to confirm my booking lol
I have also gotten canker sores when I’m especially stressed over something in particular. First one was because my sister couldn’t find a bra to wear with her dress. The current huge one I have is from stressing over all of the people who haven’t RSVP’d yet!
FI thinks I’ve lost weight as well and it must be from stress because I haven’t done anything to lose weight.

@mkim: Oh! I have some info about weather reports. Shoot, wish I could link my previous post. Anywhoodle, basically stop torturing yourself about the weather. What you’re looking for is the weather report 6 days before the date which is 60% accurate, 4 days before is about 80% accurate. Anything before that is based on the Farmer’s Almanac and statistical averages and can change at any time. Now get some rest! 😉

@WillyNilly: THANK YOU FOR THIS! I have been obsessed with the weather for the last week; our wedding is 9 days away, so I’m going to release my grip on Weather.com, Accuweather, and Weather Underground and try to breathe. I honestly don’t know why I am so obsessed – we have a solid Plan B Rain Plan in place that will be just as awesome as the original!
New sign of stress – FI told me I was “acting bitchy” yesterday, which I then told him was the exact WRONG thing to say to a girl even if she is, in fact, acting bitchy, haha (this time the silent treatment only lasted 30 minutes or so.)

@gonatgo: I lost weight from stress too and now I have to stuff my boobs to make my dress fit! haha
@BeetleGrl215: I’ve been totally obsessed with the weather for the past week. Now it’s actually really close so I guess it’s justified to be obsessed – but if it makes you feel any better, the forecast has changed almost every day, so I wouldn’t worry yet if I were you! And I feel so bad when I start getting bitchy with my fiance – he has taken quite a bit of my crap lately. I’ve had to make conscious efforts to apologize to him between my rants… I want him to still WANT to marry me on Sunday. lol

My weather obsession is out of control: after midnight each night, the two week forecast moves forward a day, so after midnight every night, even if I’m in bed, I’m on my iphone checking the updated weather. Just to get a glimpse of one day closer to Sept. 15. Crazy? Absolutely.
I wish I’d stop breaking out but I think that’s definitely a stress manifestation since I haven’t had zits like this in almost 2 decades. Great timing since it’ll be the day I’m photographed more than any other in my life. Awesome.
And crying for no reason? Yep, I’ve got that covered, too. Last week I cried 3 times in one day and I can’t even tell you what caused one of them.

@Mrs.Beeloney: I find myself trying to step back when I get bitchy, and FI has been mostly really good about taking it in stride (plus it’s really hard to stay mad at him most of the time…even if he does “forget” to take out the trash.)
This is also finals week for me, I’m usually good about compartmentalizing but every once in a while I feel a surge of panic…
