I just had to share my excitement since I can’t tell anyone in the real world yet!
When I was 20 weeks pregnant, my SIL announced that she was 6 weeks along. We were extatic! We are very close and talked a lot about how excited we were to raise our babies together.
At 8 weeks, she suffered a miscarriage, and my family was devistated. I could tell from that point on that even though she was happy for us, my pregnancy brought about some hurt feelings, and even when my DS was born in September, there was sadness on her part because of the loss she had experienced.
She and my brother were still amazing aunt and uncle to DS. They were seeing a fertility specialist since the MC because they had been trying for over a year, and I knew that every month that went by without a BFP was heartbreaking for them.
Well, last night they came over for dinner and brought my son a gift, a shirt that said “Best Cousin Ever!” I cried and hugged my brother so hard that I tackeled him onto the couch and ended up scaring DS and making him scream, which was hysterical.
She’s 9 weeks along and has had 4 ultrasounds and everything looks perfect. Fingers crossed for the next 3 weeks and then the next 28, but I’m very hopeful with this one.
I can’t wait to raise our kids together! They will be 11 months apart, which is nothing in the grand scheme of things. Plus, it will be so fun to have another baby in the family once my DS is entering the toddler phase.
So I just had to share my joy!!!
