@AshleyB: Here's one I found on etsy. Maybe they can create you one like you posted above for cheaper?
ETA: Another link.
So I tried to comment last night and my internet crapped ot before I could post. (sad) So lets try this again!
Here's the cheap and (somewhat) dirty way to do it.
Buy a sheet of black acrylic. (I have a jewellers saw to cut it, I'm not sure what else you could use)
Take a picture of you and your fiance posed as you want on the topper.
Open the picture in photoshop, in a new layer outline your silhouette.
Print it out in your desired size.
Use tracing paper to transfer the image to the acrylic.
Saw your image out, sand the edges.
Voila, acrylic custom cake topper!
A third vote for Etsy. I love love love that site. We got our cake toppers from there.
@NicoleEvelyn I was thinking of trying to DIY.
I too love Etsy and I know they sell them but not for the price I want to pay...
Maybe consider getting a sheet of plastic (thick enough to stand vertically, but thin enough to cut with an x-acto knife), trace and cut out the shape, and then use a glossy black spray paint? If you have a longer 'spike' cut into the shape on the bottom, you could plunge that into the cake to make it stand.
